These videos are so helpful - thank you! I still hate flat pack assembly but this makes it feel much less like torture. One thing I found is, it was much easier to put the fasteners into the relevant holes before inserting the piece with the screw drilled in. I couldn't get the fasteners in correctly the other way around.
This video was brilliant. I was dreddin putting together this desk until I came across this video. It was so simple to follow and made my life a lot easier. Thank you furniture reviews 🎉
I have 2 of these Micke desks and I absolutely love them! The first one I bought 8 years ago, the 2nd one I just bought yesterday. With your tutorial, this went sooOO much smoother than the first one I bought! Thank you! *And for anyone considering this desk, yes!.. I still have the first one I bought 8 years ago, I just love it so much I bought one for another room! :)
Is it fine if we don’t attach its drawers? I mean will it’s stability would get affected? Just to have more leg space I was wondering if I could just put the sleek table and not it’s drawers.
I guess this is good enough to use for my bedroom. I wish there was a version of the Malm Dressing Table with more depth from front to back. I need at least 19.5 inches.
Good video and made it look easy. But my drawers dont fit and there is a big gap at the top and they are nearly falling out. I think im going to have to drill holes to get the drawers closer to the top of the desk.
This desk is perfect size for my space. I'd be sitting at it for very long periods using the computer and doing crafts. Does it wobble? Or is it a solid desk? Are there other desks you'd recommend more, since you're familiar with Ikea stock. I want something simple looking, hoping to pair a desk side by side with a Besta 2 door cabinet of almost the same height. Thank you.
I really didn't see any issues with this Micke desk. It might wobble side to side due to the metal leg but that's only if you apply some force in that direction. If you're using it for crafts and working on your computer, then it should be fine. If you want more stability, you can take a look at the Malm desk. The depth is greater though when comparing it to the Micke desk.
@@originalfurniturereviews2964 Thanks so much for your response. I liked the Micke because it's longer than some of the others, and the depth was good too. I'm trying to match a desk to the white Besta 2 door sideboard unit, so trying to get a similar height so I'll have one long surface to put small tv and a printer. I'll have a look at the Malm, and anything else you can suggest, as I enjoy your videos and know you're very familiar with Ikea products. I've got an old, solid wood desk at the moment and it doesn't move for anything :) Thank you
my drawers don't shut or better one shuts and cannot open and the other one won't slide completely in😞 the tutorial was awsome, but i have no idea what i did wrong
Ikea manuals literally send me into sensory overload, so I really appreciate the time you spend to make these videos!! Real MVP.
Tutorial was excellent. Extremely helpful explained in a way that a 75 yr old could understand. Thank you

Finally put my desk together. Without your wonderful tutorial i think it would have taken me ages. Thank you again 😊
Thank you for this. This was my first IKEA assembly ever. I would have thrown the dang desk parts away if I didn't have this video
Appreciate your time
I installed this desk and 4 other Ikea items this week following your videos

Took me an hour thanks to you.
Would’ve been way longer on my own.

I'm moving and I need to take it apart... it's impossible to take the top of even I checked 100 times if I unscrewed all the metal elements ;(
Did the R and the L, yet the right drawer has a quite substantial gap, and it sags a bit. Weird.

Does it not sag in the middle over time?
