After many years of seeing this place and a few fail attempt to see it. We finally were able to see Bentonite Hills which is just outside of the Capitol Reef National Park. This trail was surprisingly easy. The only obstacle was the river crossing which can be a challenge if it was high but fortunately for us the water level was low this time of the year.

7:22 The best shot in this video. Looks awesome, so does the food.
Yea..this area have to bee seen from a drone. Hard to see all the colors just from standing on the ledges
The food lools good too, amazing scenery!
Another episode! Yee yee
Thanks for the support man!
This is dope af!
Definitely a must see if you're ever in the area...the landscape is spectacular
Just got back from there. Really amazing views. We were in a stock her and never used 4wd.
Yea I was surprised at how easy this trail was
Do the color of the hills look as good from the ground as they look from the air?
I'm driving to Utah next week and I'm trying to decide if I visit that area too.
Thanks.
@@henryortega8893 From the air is better...it's hard to see all the red and blue from the ground.
Those drone shots are 🔥
Dude...it was so cool to finally see it
This is awesome.
Thank you
Great Video & Explanation
Thank you
Awesome place! I can only imagine what it looked like I’m person
If you can David...I recommend going to this trail
that dope man
Just a cool area to see in person man
Michael when you air down what is the PSI change that you go from / go down
I usually air down from 40psi to roughly 20psi...sometime more depending on the terrains
If I go into a body of water with my bone stock 2wd tacoma and I get stuck- I’m blaming this video 😡😡
Kidding, great vid btw
Haha...don't kill the messenger. Yea man if you can make it, the landscape here is awesome!
Hi Michael, just curious. Is Betonite Hills not part of the National Park? Also, how far is the moonscape from Capitol Reef NP? I’ve been dying to go to there, and how hard is the trail? How much ground clearance do i need to get there? Can an AWD make it to Moonscape?
Hey man...no Bentonite Hills is just outside the National Park boundaries at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if they going to include this into the park but at the moment it's part of the BLM. Moonscape is easy...awd is fine. We have seen some really low clearance van making it there.
@@Michael_Tran oh nice! That’s on my list to go to. Thanks for this video, gives me more courage to go to this spot now. I’ve been wondering if my Honda Pilot can get there, your video showed i can. So thank you! Bentonite, Moonscape and Shafer Trail are on my list!
Nice man...yea it's totally doable...only area is the river if its super flooded might be an issue but everything else is pretty easy. @@popeyerubi1981
