Skin1004 has been such a lovely shock to me. I bought the cleansing oil last year and absolutely love it. I've tried so many before (even the cult classic dhc cleansing oil) and none has been so lightweight while still being so effective and nourishing as that one. Just bought backups and their sunscreen the other day. And Beauty of Joseon's retinol eye cream has minimized my eye wrinkles by a surprising amount. One of the few eye creams I actually feel is worth it. ETA: I have normal to dry skin, and for me pyunkang yul's balancing gel (basically their version of a sleeping mask) and their nutrition cream are my winter go-tos. Simple ingredients, deeply hydrating and moisturizing. The balancing gel even helps my skin heal from irritation from over exfoliation and allergic reactions.
I am also apart of the ultra dry skin club (thanks HRT), and the Beauty of Joseon cream is DIVINE. It’s like the farmacy honey cream but better (and way less stupidly expensive). Beauty of Joseon as a whole is so solid. I adore the probio serum from Skin 1004. I’m using it now and I love it. I also recommend the Haruharu Black Rice Probiotic Essence highly - it’s so, so, so good as a toner or an essence
My skin has been so dry lately due to the weather and my use of adapalene. I never experienced flaking like that, and its been a STRUGGLE with foundation. I am a bit scared of super moisturizing products because I am prone to breaking out. The only thing I found to help now is to layer oil with a mositurizer on top as my moisturizing step before bdd. I have been using a avocado oil suitable for skin and nails. Works so well for me.
It's interesting how products work for some people but not others. The BOJ Dynasty cream was way too lightweight and non-hydrating for me. I ended up using it on my body because it did nothing for me. If anything my face felt drier and more dehydrated when I used it. The Torriden Solid In Cream is great but not on its own. I layer it over a lightweight hydrating cream, mix in a few drops of Tamanu oil, then put a sleeping pack and Cerave Healing ointment on top. I think I prefer the Abib Jericho Rose Crème but it's pricer so I just get what's on sale because I still need to layer the Abib as well. I also love the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Ampoule! I layer 2 full droppers over the 7 (more like 10-15) skin method of hydrating toners. I find it super hydrating. And in Canada you can get the 100ml bottle for under $20 most of the time.
Okay hey lovely, first of all you you look super pretty today! Second, you NEED to try pyunkang yul intensive repair cream during winter. It’s the best thing ever. I live in a very cold climate and that jar has been saving my skin year after year
Unfortunately my skin does react to hyaluronic acid not extremely but enough to cause some irritation, I suspected and tested it on my upper arms and stomach and yep I react, I’ve been loving NEOGEN probiotic relief cream recently, great review 😊❤
i tried the dear klairs watery oil drop as per your recommendation, i didn't realise how good it did me until now that i've finished it! i'll definitely get it back once i'm finished my current toner. i just replaced my cleansing balm with the beauty of joseon cleansing oil and i love it, so now you make me curious to try the cream..
My favorite k beauty skincare is the its skin power 10 formula li firefighter serum. Its just gentle and calming bc my skin is always waging war with me ahem acne. It takes a while to start working but its pretty soothing
I wish my skin was dry enough to use the Beauty of Joseon cream regularly because it is absolutely a gem. My combo skin has regulated it to a night cream during winter *only*, it's that hydrating. A+ product.
I don't use k-beauty sunscreen because I'm not sure that it's suited to the Australian sun but hopefully some others will have some great suggestions for you :)
the skin1004 centella water-fit sunscreen is amazing, as well as the isntree hyaluronic sunscreen! I feel the isntree is more hydrating, but both can work for a variety of skintypes I think. I have combo skin and love the skin1004 one more. both are widely reviewed as some of the best k-beauty sunscreens out there. but beware that my focus has not been on dry skin! let me know if you need clarification regarding the exact product name cause I don't know it by heart and am not sure whether they might have other ones with similar names P.s.: both work perfectly under makeup, are not sticky and have been recommended by a person I know that refers to her skin as dry
Purito Daily Soft Touch Sunscreen is realy nice. I do find it pills for me sometimes but several people I know have never had that problem so it's likely just the products I use under it.

My all time favourite k-beauty product is the Innesfree Black Tea essence. It's divine

Hello Hailey
I have not tied personally but byoma clarifying serum has blue tansy in it if you would like to check it out.
Unfortunately my skin does react to hyaluronic acid not extremely but enough to cause some irritation, I suspected and tested it on my upper arms and stomach and yep I react, I’ve been loving NEOGEN probiotic relief cream recently, great review 😊❤

The watery oil drop is amazing, only problem is it's expensive! xx

I live in the states so I don’t know if you can get this Lapis blue tansy face oil it’s a dupe of the Sunday Riley Luna oil

Yeah that cream is not messing around!!
When I do a deep clarifying wash day, I add a few droppers of hyaluronic acid to my shampoo to mitigate how it dries my scalp out.
Good idea!
Do you (or anyone here!) have any k-beauty sunscreen recommendations? I haven't been able to find one that doesn't feel drying after a couple hours.

also, that torriden dive-in serum works great under sunscreen
