Music is a form of art whereby especially in the rock/metal industry is performed by people whom have struggled through things a lot of us could never imagine. All Gibby is doing is using their experience and advising that anybody who is going through all of that has a way out. You might not be a believer but trust me, there are people watching that need his God Fearing advice. I am a believer and I wished I had the courage to spread the word like he does. Anyways point is, if you don't like the "in your face" approach, don't watch because you might not need it but a lot of others probably do. It's possibly what attracts them to him. It is "his" audience if that makes sense.

I think this song is more from a point of view that life is a sort of purgatory. Right, like the "heaven is full, and when hell don't want me back" is a sort of play on words that meaning its not his time for the afterlife, and he feels stuck by his "badges of bad habits". I know lyrics are subjective, but that's what I gather from them. like he feels as though heaven is at capacity so he's not able to get in at the moment. Much like what you said at the beginning of your vid, we don't see the full picture so we tend to see rough patches of life as "setbacks and relapses" rather than the rough part of the road to get to the ultimate destination. That's just my thought on the "heaven is full and hell don't want me back" bar.
