I'm really happy that you reacted to this song and that you loved it. I love this cover, too. It does sound slightly different than what you've heard so far, but after a year of being their fan, I've found out that HF guys are very versatile with how they sound or what they can do, while they also always manage to somehow bring their unique HF sound into everything, and I love that about them. I agree with Monika you should react to those. Home Free skills are often missed because for them the song always comes first. They don't necessarily throw in a lot of riffs, runs and vocal gymnastics not because they can't but because it detracts from the song but you have to be a real fry and watched all their videos + see them live a whole lot either in person or on youtube to really see all they are capable of doing. I won’t give too much away, but they spent 3 days here in Austin’s hometown with his aunt and uncle. I worked for his uncle as a vet tech for 7 years through high school and college... soooo, I know a sweet little pup was in the “Good ‘Ole” video 💕😉
I can hardly wait. I know how big the difference can be, first hand, though not from seeing them. I was raised in a very musical (and theatrical) family, and there were always performances, concerts, contests, dramas, and the like...still are, in our continuing families down the line. ;-) Being at a live concert to hear someone you already admire, is so GOOD! ;-) I don't expect to be disappointed in the least. I was just thinking that perhaps I should explain just a tiny bit about why I can hardly wait to see a video about "a good old girl having a good old boy good time." My husband and I were married 34 years ago, at the end of this past November. We met at church, but our first "date" was a fishing trip together one evening in Southern California, and we've rarely been apart since then. I had no tackle when we met. I grew up fishing, in Valdez, Alaska, and I still have caught, in my lifetime, bigger fish than my husband possibly ever will (although some of the Northern Pike he's caught in the last few years, here in South Dakota, are getting up there!), but I hadn't been fishing in quite some time, at that point. So he outfitted me with everything I needed, and we shared a LOT of fish stories, and went from there to sharing family stories, etc. We weren't youngsters. I was 33, and he had just turned 30. I had three kids from my first marriage, and he had one from his. We had known each other and been fishing together for three months, when he proposed and I accepted, and we were married four days before my birthday, in November, just three months later. We've never looked back. We had another child, together, giving us a total of three boys and three girls--perfect (we live on a farm, now, with her, her husband, and their seven children). Those six kids have presented us with 19 grandchildren, who have added three great-grandchildren to the mix. So that song feels pretty much like our legacy, to me, and I have been waiting on tenterhooks for its video to appear. :-)

I would suggest as a musician as well, listen again and realize you are not even reacting to the percussion that Adam is doing because it literally sounds like a real drum. His beat boxing is evolving to the point it is almost unrecognizable from real percussion instruments. Great reaction to the addition to a female voice.
