I feel bad for Jake, from the audience perspective it's easy to judge him because we know what's actually going on between Tom and Aiden....but the only info Jake has is Alec's shady rumor because Tom doesn't try to communicate even if it is to tell Jake he doesn't like him anymore, so i get why that kiss would make him feel somw type of way. I get Jake messed up because of how impulsive he is but his intentions aren't bad....he even said to Ashley that he felt bad about sending James home.
I LOVED when that light fell on Yule's foot. I HATE him. Whoever voiced him did an amazing job.
this episode really felt like the best and worst of disventure camp. on one hand, i loved the challenge and most of the what happened was stellar, but i have seen very little people talk about how bad the writing of the elimination was. not only did yul hate riya, but she lost the challenge, had already shown with how she treated the other team (specifically fiore) that she didn't gaf about the villain alliance, and overall was just by far the only person who reasonably should have been voted out here. alec as well was handled so poorly. you would think that not only given his friendship with connor, but his understanding of how bad of a person riya is, that he would just privately tell grett and yul to vote riya and keep an alliance of them and connor instead, since connor is clearly more loyal and trustworthy than riya. yul would go along with this easily and i am sure grett wouldn't care, and it wouldn't even really break the villains alliance (that of which barely even exists so it shouldn't even pose as a factor) because NO ONE likes riya. hell, even if they all made it to merge, fiore would back up the action because anyone logically could see that riya was not willing to work with everyone. she also, again, has been a main factor in all the discourse in the team and lost the challenge, and if alec really wanted connor to not have to suffer being around riya anymore, then JUST VOTE FOR HER INSTEAD AND SHE GOES HOME, THUS STILL SEPERATING THEM. overall, i don't care too much about connor's character compared to others that i really like, but despite me not having any attachment to connor, bluntly, the elimination is very poorly written. in no universe should connor have been the vote here, and the plot armor that riya (and somewhat yul) had here was absurd at best. fans of riya or not, her writing has been plot armor focused and abysmal this season, which is shocking given i have liked everything else they have done with almost every character. really hoping this doesn't keep up going forward because man oh man will it be a disappointing season.
