Webinar | Urban Park Grant Opportunity (ORLP) Technical Assistance (October 25, 2023)

City Parks Alliance hosted this webinar with staff from the National Park Service for communities interested in learning more about Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) grant program. The program provides grants to cities for park projects in underserved communities. Over $124 million in funding will be available in this upcoming application round.
In this webinar, National Park Service staff provided details on applicant and project eligibility, gave tips on writing a strong ORLP application, explained the application and selection process, and answered questions.
Established in 2014, the ORLP is a nationally competitive grant program, funded through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), that focuses on economically disadvantaged communities with little to no access to outdoor recreation opportunities in urban areas. Funds are available for land acquisition, new park development, or the substantial renovation of existing parks, to (re)connect people with the outdoors.
