A great introduction to ESC, if you're running out of interesting songs of this year, maybe you could react to some of the past performances, Lordi's 2006 winning song or Maneskin's 2021 winning one could be a good starting point :)

Because Sweden won last year, that year being 2023, they have now tied Ireland on 7 wins and also the winner Loreen who won 2012 also won 2023 so she is now the 2nd person and the first female to win Eurovision twice. Eurovision 2024 will be held in Sweden in my city of Malmö in the beginning of May. This is the 3rd time Malmö will host Eurovision and the last time it was hosted here was 2013 after Loreen won her first time with the song Euphoria. Now the reason why Israel and Australia are allowed in Eurovision is because they are both members of EBU = European Broadcasting Union. Israel has been competing in Eurovision for as long as I can remember and Australia after being a huge fan of Eurovision and have been watching for decades they finally got invited to have a 5 year try and compete and after that they have been renewed with 5 years at the time. I think the deal is that if Australia should win and they have been close a few times, they wouldnt get to host it because of the time difference and the runner-up would host instead.
React to Eurovision!! there are great songs!! u will like it. I could suggest you Duncan Laurence -Arcade 2019 or Loreen -Euphoria 2012! ps. Eurovision has more viewership than Superbowl, so its not like American Idol at all.
He forgot to mention that on the begining singing in one of the cou trys offical languages was an requirement but after french and english speaking countrys won so offten i think it was changed. I wish though they had not compleatly changed it but more so only had the countrys do that wvery second year or so I also wish thst if a famous singer wone once thst they could not be used again weather ot not they got fame theough the contest or not Its already enough of sn advantsge as it is
