I'm not sure what's the cause of that. It only happened to me when I disassemble the train to do some minor design tweaking, so I guess the only way to get around it is too make sure you're satisfy with the design before assemble the train

Those are from steam 'n' rails, make sure you have that installed. You press and hold alt key while holding a train casing

You're probably playing on 1.20. I just found out that the cast iron stuffs are only in 1.19
They are in 1.20 but they're called industrial instead of cast. Or maybe industrial just looks really similar

It's similar to the copycat panels, simply place them down and right click with a block you want to apply the texture

Almost of the mods here is available for forge. except for open simple frames, for forge it is frameblocks mod which works the same
