Why would lactate help with acidosis? Doesn’t lactate cause metabolic acidosis?

Oh I've asked the same question before ..and when I searched for it ..I found that lactate +(H+) will turn to lactate acid then liver transforms it to pyruvate (after that pyruvate will participate in the ventilation)then gives us bicarbonate (HCO3+)which buffers metabolic acidosis
Result:will be transformed to bicarbonate that buffers metabolic acidosis
She mentioned that in 1.57(the yellow writing)

Why should this liquid not be given to patients with lactic acidosis and liver patients?

Because they already have too much lactate in their blood. Giving them this just adds more to an already highly acidic state.
