Great video, my only suggest would be to put the name of the person on the screen, especially since you can't always say them, like the Dutch artist's name. It will help us to look them up, but I heard at the end you said you have all this in an article on your website, so I hope to check that out later today. Thanks for sharing! Great video!

I was one of those who became overwhelmed with finding my mentors in the UA-cam jungle... seriously couldn't see the woods for the trees. I'm interested in the courses, when I get back to work so I can justify the expense.
Lapin (Sketching on accounting paper which I have stacks of in the attic!) and the Spanish lady are new to me... and who knew Gurney practiced plein air... I remember him from the Dinotopia telly series!! (Nostalgic now, ha).

@@tarias_sketchy_adventures I've not only fallen down Anne Laure's rabbit hole, I found a warren! I lived in Dijon for a while as a late teen, and love the French balanced attitude to life; so work, family & friends, leisure and sleep are equally important. I find I can't stop watching Anne's videos as she's so bubbly, crazy enthusiastic (in an infectious way) and talented (going to be making my own travel boards so I can use my preferred paper, after watching her create her own!)

Yes, Tiara, those people are all well worth following. I have loved watching their videos - with the exception of the Spanish artist. I had not heard of her before. For sketching people I can recommend Hazel Soan, who has released a couple of books which are well worth the money. The first screen on your people section looked a lot like it came from one of her books called "Learn to Paint People Quickly". She is a(nother) great teacher but unfortunately, there is not a lot of free content from her online - as far as I know.
Ah yes I know of Hazel Soan but haven’t got her book... I think she is actually based here in South Africa and does workshops painting animals at game reserves!! Now that would be an amazing experience!

About a week ago I stumbled upon a video of yours (1 house, 2 styles, okt 2020), and I fell in love with the loose style and the combination of black ink and watercolors. Before this video I never even heard of something like urban sketching. I'm used to drawing realistic portraits and I really would love to learn a more loose style of drawing. Just watching your video's already feels kind of liberating. ;-) So this week I ordered all the necessary tools and I'm ready to give it a go. :-)
By the way, I'm Dutch, and the pronunciation of 'K-oo-sj-e' is: K - oo (like in dough) - sj (like in ship) - e (like in the, not thee) ;-)

Thank you for mentioning the Spanish language on Domestika. I bought a pack courses, which were not clearly notified that the voice over is in Spanish. I absolutely hated the experience because the subtitles hid half of the techniques shown in the video. So people should know that the vast majority of the courses there are in Spanish.
Yep it’s a Spanish platform. I didn’t have that troubles with the subtitles though.... sorry to hear that :/ there’s a few in English though - Lapins USK course is in English and so is Alex Hillkurtz course and a few others but yes mainly Spanish
