I use it on my daughter's hair for styling. Works amazing for definition and making her curls last all week with little frozen. It helps the curls clump together smoothly. Love your hair and your personality!😀

I bought the knockoff of the Denman brush. Try removing every other row. This tip was shown in other natural hair vids some moons ago. Anywho, it helps. But, it's still not my favorite brush. I've just purchased the Felicia Leatherwood Brush. I have high hopes for this brush. I hope it will blow all of the other brushes out of the water. I'll keep you posted.
Hey girly, hope all is well! Cool video! I heard that the Denman is often used with some of the teeth rows taken out. Apparently you can take off base and remove them from the back... I was curious about this brush too!

Thank you so so much for these curly hair care video’s! 🙌🏼 I don’t have curly hair but I have a daughter who does (she’s just 1 so I can’t really do much yet) and all these tip and trick will help me with how to take care of her hair 😊 just one question do you really need so many products of can you also just you 1 or 2 products? 🤔
Mingkittish I feel like it's better to mix products. It makes my hair feel smoother and easier to comb through when I add a bunch of conditioners

Honestly, I'm going to start considering myself blessed because I don't have to do that much work on my curly hair holy crap. My hair is thin so that could be a factor but you have seriously open my eyes. Literally all I have to do is shampoo and condition my hair, brush it out, and then my hair just curls by itself as it dries.
Camera man is back, haven't heard him from a while. Poor Spankie that looks like it would take hours to do.

I have a purple Denman brush and it makes my curls pop! I have one of the kind that you can take out some of the rows and that helps me. Anyway I must say those curls are gaw-gess!
Can you please measure your hair? I’m so curious to know the actual length in inches I’m guessing 33 inches? Also how long does it usually take for you to detangle?

Love the video. I have wavy hair but my daughter has thick curly hair. I think she has been using the wrong brushing technique because this last year her curls aren’t doing their thing. This will be a fun video for her to watch & hopefully learn something from.

I prefer a wooden brush and wide toothed comb. I no longer brush or comb while wet, ever. I do finger style a lot, and use oils and braids excessively. I also sleep with a satin lined cap and take biotin, CoQ10 and flax oil. A few gals swear by the Tangle Teaser, but I've never used it so I have no opinion about that. Your hair is glorious.

I always leave my hair wrapped in a towel for too long after showering so then I need to re wet some of the frizzy dryer bits 😣 I just don't like the water dripping on me lol
I think your hair turned out nicely. I know you said you’re impatient (as am I) but I think if you try it again, try it with smaller sections. You’ll have more volume that way, if you’re interested in more volume, that is. I just bought a denman brush and I’m waiting to try that myself.
I think the tangle teaser does the same as the other brush you obtained. I too have curly hair so either brushes are good . Maybe you may be able to get your money back if you may return the black brush. Considering it does same as the pink brush

Your hair is gorgeous. Definitely think you can get big fluffy curls with lots of volume. Just takes time that you probably don't want to spend on them. LOL. I don't do wash and go's unless I know I have a lot of time.

Spank THIS is what the people need. We need that length we like it we love it. Work them curls lady. Yaaaaassssssss. My fix has been fixded. This is all the inspiration I need to not cut my hair cuz the struggle with long curls is so real. Put the scissors down bitch, and step away.

Most of my wash n gos are one product.. shea moisture jbco leave in conditioner I just love it. Also please try The Wet Brush. It makes detangling soooooo much easier, I lose less hair and it gives me the prettiest defined ringlets!

A Denman brush never worked for me, pulled and tugged at my scalp like no other. I prefer a Tangle Teezer for pre-wash detangling, then after my hair comes out the towel, I use the Wet Brush (awesome brush!) and that's it. I have classic length (under the bum length) wavy/curly hair. I weekly wash my hair. I like to keep my wash days simple and condition for about 2 min. and that's it - don't have time for more or for leaving hair masks or conditioners in for half an hour, so I don't! I tested it at one point, and 2 min. is more than enough! If it hasn't moisturized at that point, get a better conditioner. I tend to pick up conditioners that are for dry, damaged hair as those are the most moisturizing ones in the drugstore. I use drugstore products, cheap drugstore products and it works! I use sulfates too; nothing wrong with it, and besides, I have a scalp condition and can't use sulfate-free or CO-wash. There's nothing wrong with sulfates!

I always say do what works for your hair, too many natural hair rules out there people think you HAVE to follow, sulfates personally are terrible in my hair and make my strands break, but I know for some they're perfectly fine, so I wouldn't say nothing wrong with them, but nothing wrong with them for some, which is cool

Meg Muldowney I literally drench mine in leave in conditioner and twist the curls then diffuse and it feels gross and sticky until it’s actually dry lmao then it is so smooth and I can actually run my fingers through the curls a bit and they don’t break up and frizz
