    Nice meeting you in person yesterday. Looking forward to that remote tune for my EVO 8 MR with the idle lean issue after warm up.

    I’m baffled why someone would pay for a dyno tune and not upgrade the clutch.

      Personally haven't had issues with the OEM clutch slipping at around 500whp. Considering how much work it is to do the clutch I don't see the point in upgrading unless it starts slipping.

      @@bkr7e811 The issue at some point becomes getting the car into gears at high rpm, for dyno tuning and pulls its doable.

    That turbo is a complete waste of money on a stock block. Stock clutch can handle up to 600whp just fine depending on the driver. I used to ride around at 550whp on stock clutch from 40K miles until I built motor around 105K miles. I beat the hell out of the car, but never launched it. The lack of launching of coarse gave me more time with the clutch. My tuning pulls always started around 2K rpm or 2.5K rpms on ALL of my turbo swaps over the years. My tuner even had me do the daunting 5th gear at 2K rpm pulls. You know, the forbidden rule that was deemed a no no. Obviously the pull wasn't all the way to redline, but it was to load the car heavy. As always, appreciate the content here. Wish we had these kind of vids 10 years ago.

    what are the benefits of running a return style fuel system upposed to a return less style?

    • @bdalchemist
      @bdalchemist  2 роки тому +2

      Return style allows for more fuel volume and pressure. And better fuel control

    Hey man! From your experience will a stock clutch slip with an mhi18k on E85? Are ID1050X enough or would you recommend 1300s? I already have the 1050s and a walbro 450.

    • @iSwivv
      @iSwivv 2 роки тому

      1300s are ideal , but depends on your power goal. and always recommend upgrading the clutch. stock clutch won’t last you long .

    • @bdalchemist
      @bdalchemist  2 роки тому

      The 1050x should be good for 450 which is where u will be without cams. And stock clutch if working proper should hold. Off course I will always say get bigger injectors if u can

    • @Notorious1000RR
      @Notorious1000RR Рік тому

      stock clutch can hold power on evo x so 400 450 no prob id wait till u have to do it cause if u cant do it urself why someone gnna pay that $$$ when dont need to yet@@iSwivv

      The wasgate spring and the setup allows for that min boost. Even with 0 wgdc
