My brother was 6 years older than me. He was my best friend ALL THE TIME. The age difference played a huge role. We were best friends until the day he died at 23. I was 17 and he will forever be 23 in my mind. Siblings love each other. They will forever know who you were before life happened. You never know when it may end. Cherish these moments. RIP Sean

That is what I heard. “Mommy where is Hudson ( in a normal voice)? His mom said “he is right here”. Then Big brother was SO exited that he squealed in the highest pitch possible “HUUDSOOOON, hi…” he spoke like he won the lottery and Hudson definitely won the lottery when it came to big brothers!

My little brother passed away a few years ago and this made me sob. He was 2 years younger than me, and 27 when he passed. Even though we both survived the deaths of our parents, I feel the loss of my only sibling way more than the loss of either of my parents. That bond is strong.

I’ll never forget my 8 year old crying tears of joy when I bought her a kitten for her birthday. Call me naive but I had no idea kids could cry tears of joy! It totally caught me off guard, despite being a natural human emotion. It’s so beautiful to see them filled with such love - especially this little boy for his new baby brother / best friend forever ❤

This reminds me of my husband and my brother-in-law. We lost him 71 days ago my husband hasn't been the same since. No matter what was going on in their lives they always had each other's backs, they really were best friends. RIP Chris we miss

Blessed are the families loving children and preparing them to have siblings. It doesn't always go so smooth - jelousy and rivalry are common (and normal) things among siblings - but some parents don't know how to handle that - and there we have a lifetime of difficult relationships, sometimes even projected onto other people (classmates, colleagues at work, etc.).
