We teach our kids to call not call elders by their names, it is either ‘aunt’ or ‘uncle’. It’s frowned upon to just call an elder by their first name like you’re buddies! Whenever I travel outside SA people will always get surprised!!!
For asian also, respecting elders is a must! We are taught to adress every elders with aunt,uncle, sir, maam,or brother and sis. Its rude to call someone older than you by their names

I thought that for so long too, but then also sadly realised there's definitely a safety aspect involved, I saw another video where someone recognised his voice while he was helping another and he denied it for fear of being robbed... really sad but unfortunately South Africa has a huge crime rate and if people knew what he looked like and knew he carried loads of cash on him, he would definitely be robbed and possibly killed. I thought that for so long too, but then also sadly realised there's definitely a safety aspect involved, I saw another video where someone recognised his voice while he was helping another and he denied it for fear of being robbed... really sad but unfortunately South Africa has a huge crime rate and if people knew what he looked like and knew he carried loads of cash on him, he would definitely be robbed and possibly killed. He's an amazing man and I definitely respect that he doesn't show his face, but I think there's a sad element that he'd be in danger if he did :(
Never mind with the “face” or what he looks like. ALL i know is he have a heart of gold. No images that needed but a pure heart and willingly reach out with others is all that matters for him and us.
