She always brought great motivation to those around her in my experience. No one ever questioned her in the riders loop, only the outsiders ever made a big deal of it.

This is pretty cool. I use to go to bull riding events when my brother rode and I've always wanted to see women bull riders but there were none. Just the steer riding which were kids but I led cheering them on because who knows they may be bull riding now. Since my brothers passing and before he passed he stopped bull riding but I loved going to support him. I do love going to bull tidings though it's an awesome sport and always pray that all the people in the events are safe. Ugh sometimes there scary. But this is pretty cool to find on UA-cam :)

I rode bulls my first college semester. First time on, I stayed on over 8 seconds cuz I didn't know when to let go. Landed in a cow patty and got up with the biggest grin and a black eye. Had the best time. Kudos to the awesome rodeo clowns.. they saved my ass several times,, especially when i got hung up on a big bull. You go girl!!!
I RODE FROM THE AGE OF 9 TILL A BULL TOOK ME OUT AT 18 I TIRED UNTIL I WAS 23 WHEN I KNEW IT WAS OVER AND THEN HAD TO HANG IT UP BECAUSE OF PAST INJURIES, I WONT CALL ANYONE BAD OR THEY CANT DO IT MAN OR WOMAN. I'M NOW 54 YEARS OLD AND ALL I CAN SAY IS GOOD LUCK IT WAS THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE.
The true inspiration lies in her motivation to continue. She's driven to get better due to the love of the sport, not by a family with rodeo running in their veins. I've gotta show my mom this video so that she can grasp that idea.

That is the same combination, plus the ability to read the bull's mind before the ride that kept Ty Murray so successful and demanding of my ultimate respect to this very day as president of the Pro Bullriders Ass'n. Maggie has the benefit of so-called "women's intuition", so she may be able to develop the same skill that Ty utilized to his benefit, throughout his career. Be interesting to see how she develops. Hope I stay healthy long enough to see her optimize her career with the grit she has brought to it from the beginning.

I use to ride bulls when I when in high school, I started at 12 years old, We producded rodeo's and Daddy was a bull rider, Stopped at age 17, was growing to fast up top and it caused me to bow way to much , Daddy said I had to quit due to that. A guy back then came to our rodeos and he rode to, always had a crush on him, but Daddy wasn't haven it, we were gonna ride PRCA, I was going to be the first girl to ride pro bulls against the men and make the NFR in Oklahoma City........... I ended up hauling bulls, and the cowboy and I took different roads.............:)
She seems like a nice lady and all but these people who decided to document this are so damn ignorant (if I'm using the word correctly) I know a few female bull riders and myself who ride down in Arizona. Two of them are champions down here. I don't know this one girl's name, but she's about 40 years old and has been riding bulls her whole life. She's a champion and has won a lot of money against guys. But no, there's a pretty, young girl who can barely ride a spinner, so let's make her famous by saying she's the only female pro bull rider. So please do your research before posting a video. I'm trying not to blow up, but this kind of stuff really pisses me off to try and make someone famous about something that many have already accomplished.

Riding bulls, having babies, getting married. It’s all the same. I am independent and sometimes do work that is typically “men’s”, but for the right situation, I’d give it all up for a baby and home life.

Of course she's tough! I'd like to meet anyone that can keep their keester glued to the back of a crazy, twisting bull, that'll throw you up into the air 10-12 ft for the landing, Maybe after an 8 sec ride, who doesn't have some hutspa. I spent 38 yrs employed in healthcare, the last 9 as EMT Medic for the US Powerlifting Assn., and I can tell everyone of these men that are seeing the external and a possible social connection, that whether it be a man or a woman that our ambulance crews are rolling into the ER, what we see in the real medical world is broken bones, contusions, lacerations, heart trauma and concussions, more often than not. How is any of this considered "pretty"? I am a gal, now 53, from South Dakota, who's beloved dad sat me atop the back of one of our few freshened dairy cows, to lead her to the water tank to drink away from the mass of our large beef herd, and after the second day's "ride" I was hooked. It's in your blood, genetics and lifestyle. Oddly enough, the ONLY thing that can beat the adrenaline rush out off you is if you do happen to meet with misfortune in the arena and be skewered by a flipping horn, stomped-on by a hoof before you can roll back onto you feet or, as happens far too often in this business, suffer a fatal wreck, while in transit to the next rodeo. These are all events the phrase, "Cowboy/Cowgirl-Up" was created to cover. By the way, I personally know 6 female bull riders, other than myself, 1 being a dear friend from church. She's in her 70's, but has told me about some of her rides. Most of us won't mention our "hobby", for fear of being put-down. She's Lakota and I have Native blood from one of the 5 tribes in Rutland, VT. You will find more numerous female riders among the inhabitants of our Indian reservations than the general population, so I was glad to hear of Maggie's success in OK. These young "gentlemen" that are only seeing the "tough" & "cute" aspect need to realize that all of that emanates from the inside out from a heart of pure gold that is quite capable of kicking butt, if need be! She may be lucky enough to still have her Dad; I wasn't, so I had to learn to defend myself, mostly from my abusive husband of 10.25 years, but it may behoove all of these objectifying guys to be darn sure that the seat of their jeans is not the thing most directly in front of her boot toe, when she finds herself having to stomach some of the boloney that their giving her! I quit riding at the age of 38, but likely would have continued longer if Dad had suggested I quit. We were 2 peas in a pod and he knew my gumption was equal to his, so he, wisely, didn't suggest. Any of you guys that haven't been married, just try telling your lady she "can't" do something and see how far that gets you!
When you think of the disparity between a man and a bulls weight- I don’t think there’s much difference in a man and a woman compared to the bull. The main problem is the egos this woman has obliterated.
Oh no I don't want her to do that than!! I say let her keep donating all her money to other Bull riders trying to prove that she can ride.. all power to her.. If she was smart she would back off the PRCA and PBR route for awhile and just enter open rodeos or an association like the TCRA to get experience and learn more than just getting two jumped everywhere she goes..

I give her credit jumping on the bull, but its another to last 8 seconds, anyone can jump on a bull but not everyone can last the 8 seconds. Its not for everyone, but everyone gives her too much credit for being a woman
