A million and one thank yous. The last fix worked for me - even though my server was above Elementor's so called accepted PHP memory limit (256) I upped it to 512 after the first optimisation steps didn't resolve the error issue. Finally my page is updating. Blessings to you brother.

Both these didn't work for me. I could see error as "PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare my_wpdiscuz_shortcode() " does this can be root cause of error 500 ? There is a plugin called wpDiscuz, which I'm using for commenthing purpose.

Thank you very much for this guide. My database had over 6000 revisions saved. After cleaning them, i was able to publish again, elementor runs faster in total and the database shrink from 1100mb to just 22mb.
After installing the plugin i tried activating it and I got this error on my site Fatal error: [snuffleupagus][disabled_function] Aborted execution on call of the function 'function_exists', because its argument '$function_name' content (exec) matched a rule in /home/odcmedic/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-optimize/webp/class-wp-optimize-webp.php on line 373 How do i fix this

It can be just not currect PHP version. Your theme or plugin not allow with new PHP version.

Just crank up the memory in php ini manager on your webhost to 512MB, that's what fixed the issue for me.
