Agreed with your views on what to call bikes. I am a little tired of people looking at my xc single speed bike and then telling me they would never choose a SS because they “ride trail” and like the downhills…..then often they are way slower up and down and go immediately into the excuses. Just ride and have fun and realize not everyone needs / wants 150mm travel, a dropper, etc.
I have had a Supercaliber XT for almost a year. I cracked the carbon wheel last month and Trek replaced it under warranty. I was just told that my seat stay is now cracked. Trek will also repair under warranty. I am now looking at the Top Fuel 9.8 XT as a second bike. I like the supercaliber but it can't seem to handle my abuse.
I know several riders who have put the TopFuel through hell and back without issues. I am confident you will be satisfied with its durability and performance. Thank you for watching and leaving your comments.
I just purchased this bike, looking forward to some great rides. This is my first full suspension, and ride on 29’s so it will be a bit of adjustment for me. Great video, and review keep it up.
