Every Day's WEIRDEST Transfer This Window

- The Irish Guy takes a look at the weirdest transfer on each day of the transfer window, including the likes of Jack Grealish to Manchester City, Lionel Messi to PSG and Luuk De Jong to Barcelona.
We all know the weirdest transfer of the summer was Newcastle signing the Goal movie kid for real.
The Lennon situation wasn't a case of Dyche not wanting the player anymore - the old owners were absolutely shambolic when it came time to renew contracts for players (and in the transfer market too) - Lennon, Hendrick and a few other players were all released but Dyche never wanted that to happen
Danny Ings to Villa was a twist that even M. Night Shyamalan himself couldn't even come up with.
This is easily the most chaotic transfer window in probabaly like 2 or 3 decades. Just the pure chaos one after the other.
I guess that could be said
Christian Romero to Spurs was also surprising. Yes they needed a CB but he was being linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid.
and he was apparently pushing for the move, why tf did he do that. he couldve waited one more year and surely real madrid or barca wouldve bought him considering lack of cbs, now he’s just gonna be the next alderwierald or vertonghen
@@jjc1752 Didn't... Wernt Aldeweirald and Vertonghen almost win the league twice and Barca and Real being biliions in debt
@@jjc1752
Vertonghen and Alderweireld are both tremendously underrated players
ngl, i'd rather play for spurs than either of those rn
@@C100-n2b thats my point, he’s gonna be good for spurs like them but wont find much success there
Let's not ignore the fact Irish Guy called him "Welsey Fofana" like he's Halsey's long lost brother
It’s her son.. she slept with Wall-E
He also called Jamie Redknapp Jamie Vardy

Aaron ramsdale: gets relegated twice in a row, moves to arsenal, arsenal now bottom of the table after 3 games...
At this rate he might end up breaking Hermann Hreidarsson's record...
I want them to get relegated simply because ksi saying :"top 4 shut up" and for Tottenham Hotspur to virgins for trophies but still a better club than arsenal

@mark houghton In fairness, I did say after 3 games, but yeah arsenal seem to be turning things around and he's not doing badly
Jamie “I agree with Gary, I agree with Jamie (Carragher),” Redknapp.
Must have an amazing agent!
tbf, Toby's move was mainly to be with his family more, also money
I heard Christopher Nolan was writing a new movie script after watching the 21/22 season European transfer market😭

The Danny Ings transfer was the old fashioned transfer that the first time you knew about it was in the paper or on ceefax. I think it took everyone by surprise.
I miss them ceefax pages. Nostalgia overload
The transfer makes a lot of sense even if it was a surprise. He wanted out of Southampton, Villa is a step up, and he would start for them (which neither Manchester club can promise)
The Alaba Contract saga has been the talking point of the last entire Bundesliga season. It was everywhere in the media
Watch Irish Guy's head explode when he learns that Chelsea gets money from all of these loans
But would get more money if they sold some of these players
@@luiseduardo4748 No one wants to buy them. That's the problem. Most of the loans sent out have an Option to Buy apparently so if they like em they can take em! But rather than dead weight on the bench, get 3 mill a year and another team to pay their salary instead. All teams do it now but Chelsea made it a regular feature lol! But that's how they recoup 30 mill for a CB that has never started for them
@@agr8902 That's right, and even if the other team cannot pay the player's full wage, Chelsea can still ask them to pay half of them. Take Danny Drinkwater for example, I believe his wage is about 100k/week, so Chelsea will save 50k/week out of his wage
Good business for Chelsea , but kinda frustating to see those players cost so much when they bought them in, and failed miserably..
Batshuayi - 39 mil euros
Drinkwater - 38 mil euros
Baba Rahman - 26 mil euros
Zappacosta - 25 mil euros
Emerson - 20 mil euros
Bakayoko - 40 mil euros
Yet none of clubs wanted to buy them..
@@irvancrocs1753 that 2017 summer disaster, man
Batshuayi was a bit unlucky tho, doing well on loan with Dortmund, but then got injured
The Messi Transfer from FC Barcelona to PSG still Ranks as the most Shocking to Me … 👀
Same and seeing him in that shirt hurts and weird
Weird more than shocking
Not really shocking Barca are struggling financially so Messi goes to the league that still makes him look good. Look st the Copa America, Di Maria scores the winner, all the talk is about Messi finally winning an international tournament.
@@LeeTAZ-sl7de obviously they'd talk about messi, who talks about di Maria?
@@LeeTAZ-sl7de and wasn't messi the one to have 9 goal contributions in 7 games
Surprised that you didn't rant about grealish for 10 minutes straight 😂
Hahaha your name is funny😐 it’s got the whole squad laughing
Very good video. I think the weirdest transfer this summer has got to be Cornet to Burnley, he was scoring in a Champions League quarter final last year.
I don't know about you lot but for me, the signings of Braithwaite, Luuk De Jong, Depay and Eric Garcia kind of tell a story as to quite how how far Barcelona have fallen and the type of players they've resorted to signing. None of those players are fit to wear that famous Blaugrana shirt and I don't think any previous Barcelona manager would have touched any of them with a 12-foot bargepole. None of them represent what Barcelona football club should aspire to be. It wouldn't surprise me to see Barcelona finish outside the Top Four in LaLiga this season.
Depay is a bit of a strech, Garcia in his first few games have done well so I think with those two your stretching especially with Garcia being a 19 year old
@@harry69007 The fact is no Barcelona manager in the past - at least not in the last 30 years or so - would've resorted to making those signings (most on a free). I don't think any of them - certainly and 100% not Braithwaite or Luuk De Jong - would of even made the bench of any top team in Europe.
@@harry69007 depay is shite
@@jhaych I wouldn't say he's shite. Just overrated and - like I reiterated - isn't good enough to play for a top European club.
It's definitely weird seeing Ronaldo at Man United again. I was sure that this would never happen.
He predicted it would happen so, it wouldn’t make sense for him to include it
It'a weird, but I agree that Barca somehow thought Luuk De Jong is a good signing for them is even more weird

Gollini had to leave Atalanta cos he fell out with the manager who bought Musso to replace him. He’s come to Spurs as a trial to see if he can become the permanent no.1 when Lloris’ contract expires at the end of the season
For me the weirdest deadline day transfer was Pjanic on loan to Besiktas
4:01 "Joined Sharjah FC in Dubai" I'm sorry what?, Sharjah and Dubai are 2 different cities
Ikr 😂
Alaba was pretty much guaranteed to join Real Madrid this season. He wanted better pay at Bayern last season, didn't get it, didn't re-sign and Madrid sweeped him up.
I've heard of Alaba being destined for Real for at least 2 years
Make that like 6 years
It was the players only choice.
I mean for multiple years you've been hearing different rumours but you would never expect them to happen like Neymar to Barcelona,Messi to ManCity,CR7 to PSG,Messi to PSG,CR7 to ManU...Oh wait...
In FIFA he has ben linked with real since FIFA

Graham Potter will never be mentioned without "hipster" when it comes to Irish Guy
This guy really said Jahanbaksh could've been good if given a chance, as a Brighton fan he was given chances and was shit which is why we sold him lol. There's a reason why we were so amazed when he scored.
Shaktars scouting department are amazing. They've discovered so many great talents.
Keep up the awesome work Irish Guy! Your videos kept my love for the game alive during lockdowns. Thank you for everything 🖤
5:52 "Jamie Vardy" LMAOOO Irish Guy might be a bit hungover
Gollini will eveuntally be Lloris' replacement thats why he was signed
Bertrand was sent off 12 mins into that 9-0 so I doubt he cares. If anything he can use it as an example of how important he was to Southampton “look what happens when I’m not on the pitch lads!”
Most underrated player of each year (02-19)
I feel like the reason why Alphonse Areola is playing at West Ham is he’s waiting for someone in the bigger teams to get injured or to leave on a transfer. But agreed a waste of talent to be behind Fabianski
It’s hard to sell some of our deadweight. A loan is better than nothing I suppose, but I would love to sell drinkwater, Barkley, and others.
5:54; Yup, that's Jamie Vardy...🤣🤣
5:50 Jamie REDKNAPP
Didn’t know Jamie Vardy was so passionate about Tottenham 😂
"A move to Sharjah FC in Dubai" That is like saying a move to Manchester United in London. They are both different cities
SHARJAH ISN'T IN DUBAI, THEY ARE BOTH SEPARATE EMIRATES
Maybe he was referring to it like the way some people refer to the entire UAE as Dubai lol
And the difference is? Even if there is one, I don’t think many people care lol
🤣🤣
Honestly
According to Irish guy evry tranfer was wierd
WHY THE FUCK DO I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE
@@NickBBBBB his name is hella long and controversial, so u remember it better. You might have have seen me 10 times before but my name and Pfp is not nearly as memorable as his , so you’ll never know.
@@TheRealPingu that is very true tbf
Mate, Gollini's gone to Spurs to be Lloris' long-term replacement as their No.1 goalie
Cornet is a wingback or winger too. Strange for Burnley tbh
The reasons teams loan players rather than just selling them is cause they cant find a permanent buyer for them. They also make money from the loan fees.
I live in Dubai. Dubai is a city within the emirate of Dubai which is one of 7 in the UAE. Sharjah isn’t in Dubai it’s the 3rd largest emirate.
Hope there'll be a video about weirdest failed transfers, since discovering Lazio failed to sign Filip Kostic after mis-typing Eintracht Frankfurt...
i feel like the irish guy thinks the middle east is just a desert lol
Ings turned down a Saints contract so they were hardly going to let him leave for free in the summer. 30mil they've done well
The biggest shock of the video was finding out that outside the US it’s not called “Clue”
"Jamie Vardy" he says, referring to Jamie Redknapp - another classic Irish Guy blunder
Lol calling Jerome Boateng a man city flop when he has won more league titles and champions league titles than that club 😂😂😂
what he achieved at Bayern doesnt make him not a man city flop lmao
@@rajinhossain5742 He's better than most players in City's history - or lack thereof.
@@heinzdoofenshmirtz8643 that's not the point. he still would be considered to be a flop during his time at Man city. Like I said, his performances for Bayern have nothing to do with how he played for city

as a barca fan, after this transfer window, i will tell you that i indeed do want to jump off a plane, fall. 33,000 feet on water, survive that somehow, go so deep into the sea, get eaten by a whale and then spit out like in the cartoons, then an eagle would pick me up while i was on air, take me to his nest and get fed to his kids. i want to cry myself to sleep
I’ve always respected William tbh

Elias Solberg is one of the biggest names in a youthful Golden generation from Norway. Juve were smart picking him up for so cheap.
The annual instalment of "Irish Guy Hates Backup Goalies"
I will never forget the whole Willian saga. Barcelona were sniffing this guy regularly, even offering €60m. But Chelsea outright rejected him only for him to leave for free.
He assisted twice in his opening game for Arsenal as the fans celebrated this "coup". But ever since then he played he lost his will to live.
What the hell happened here?
He got pregnant
Romanista here. Florenzi isn't good anymore. His decline started after the Barcelona win and with his injury record, it was best to send him away.
Plus his loan deal has a 4.5 million obligation to buy at the end of the season
Most underrated youtuber
Lamela wasn’t suited for English football. I’m surprised he lasted that long at Spurs. He’s doing way better in Sevilla rn.
13:52; 20th for Aaron Ramsdale... This cannot get even more coincidental...😅🤣🤣
Great video!
The reason we couldn’t buy him back in 2017 is because his old agent mino raiola snaking us for money
Hey Irish guy, you forgot to add Alioski & Matheus pereira in the weird transfer list!!! 🙄too early to go middle east!!!🤦
5:17
This Norwegian wonder kid 😍 you watch him explode in a few year you will see 🤩🇳🇴🇳🇴
He called Jamie redknapp Jamie vardy 🤣🤣
I noticed haha
Florian Thauvin to Tigres in Mexico I thought was a really weird transfer
I love how Irish guy thinks if u can loan a player out, u should be also able to sell them, despite most of them were not being bid to be bought anyways
Tbf Stengs and Justin Kluivert could be a naughty front line for Nice
emiliano marcondes to bournemouth
helps brentford get promoted from the playoffs knocking bournemouth out in the process
and then goes right back to the championshup
Imagine have a national team where Diomande was the main striker, so glad we have Haaland now..
One of the weirdest and most disappointing ones for me was Ryan Christie to Bournemouth. Christie is a hell of a player and was linked with Premier League clubs like Burnley and Southampton throughout the summer. And instead he's going to be playing in the Championship this season. I just hope Bournemouth go up this season because that's a bloody waste of talent otherwise.
The other weird one was Danny Ings going to Aston Villa. He didn't sign a new contract with Southampton because he wanted to play at a higher level again, which is fair enough given his age and injury record. But 'higher level' to me doesn't include joining a club who are going to be playing in all the exact same competitions as Southampton this season. No European football, no title challenge, just fighting for a top half finish like everyone else, including his old club. Just seems bizarre to me, he might as well have stayed at Southampton.
Watch Elias Solberg turn into a legend💀
Please do a reaction to Grealish assisting Rice
Worst. England goal. Ever.
Graham Potter breathes
Irish guy: So very hipster
Did Leicester really sign two of the back four of the team they beat 9-0? 😆
can’t believe you didn’t say berahino for deadline day
It's not a surprise because his career gone down a ditch, even if he goes to play at the second Turkish it's not a surprise it's just a sad thing to see
The Irish guy calling Galatasaray 'footballing giants' but mocking two separate moves of players to Besiktas is going to REALLY piss off certain people from turkey
5:55 Jamie Vardy?!

Funny how Livramento has been sensational for Southampton!
Gollini wasn't the Atalanta number 1. anymore, he lost his place toward the end of the season
Grealish X The Irish Guy
The Crossover we need.
It's just funny that the arsenal-ramsdale transfer also happened on 20th...
i'm still convinced Willian only left because he saw how much of a shambles Arsenal is in...
Dont want a relegation on his CV
Ronaldo going back to Man U was weird to him
July 12th - Mat Ryan to Real Sociedad
July 13th - Javi Martinez to Qatar SC
July 14th - Calvin Stengs to Nice
Should've done more research on Caulker. The new coach is trying to get rid of him already 😂😭
Steven berghuis swapping feyenoord for Ajax needs a mention
Gameiro transfer is not weird at all, his first pro club was Strasbourg . He is 34 and just want to help his club !
Never thought I'd hear The Irish Guy mention Motherwell like ever 😂 granted it was about Joe Hart to Celtic but still 🤣
Still cant believe the mighty Villa managed to rip off Man City. Plus it was probably the reason why they cpuldnt afford Kane.
Javi left Bayern because he cant play in europe anymore,he has slowed down in the past few years mostly due to injuries
