  • I was so excited to get to try out one of Fishman's new Loudbox Micro Amps! I did this video as a collab with them and really was not expecting much from such a tiny amp and wasn't really sure how I would use it. After making this video though, I was pretty stoked to have this thing and there are a lot of ways I plan on using it with my band! Anyway I hope this video is a fun watch for you!
Here is my affiliate link for the amp so make sure if you get one that you use it to support me!

I DID buy the MICRO and it's very powerful. The staff at Guitar Center had just gotten ONE in and they were ALL excited to see me open it and let them try it out. It's not got Bluetooth mic options but for home use, beginners and single playing, it's BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks for the thorough review. I'm looking at this amp as a way to practice vocals without setting up the whole PA.

Thanks for watching! This would probably be perfect for that- maybe see if they have in in stores at this point and try it!

Awesome review, and beautiful music to accompany. Subscribed! I personally love the Fishman amps too. I've had a Mini for a while, running multiple guitars and mics through it, and consistently get good feedback from attendees at our shows in small venues (think like restaurant with a bar). I just recently got a used Loudbox Performer (I call it Big Daddy), and it really carries all of the same incredible vocal clarity and projection, except now there's just a fuller presence to it, and certainly more bass response. I did an A/B comparison of my existing Mini vs a Bose S1 Pro Plus, which I had read great things about online, and honestly it got trounced in that comparison. Everything felt like it was being played through a pillow or something compared to the live sound that I'm used to.

Hi Haley, great video!! Were you ever able to test if the Y cable works with the mic input to have 2 people singing at once?

Hi thank you!! I haven’t yet- I need to do that! I feel like it would though since that works running into a PA! Just annoying that they would both have to be the same level

I have the Loudbox Mini. A bit heavier than the micro, for sure, but still capable of being used as the only amp you grab when heading out the door to a small bar or other small venue. It was originally purchased for my son a few years ago but he hasn't hit that stage yet.So, in the meantime it's being used in the house as a practice amp or when jamming with some friends. Great job with the review. Just "found" your channel and yes, I hit that subscribe button! Much Peace.

Oh that’s awesome! That one looks great too. And haha maybe I need to start buying my toddler some gear (and I’ll just use it til he’s older! :) ) Thanks so much and really appreciate it!

@@haleypowersmusic I'll be looking for more of your reviews. You've got the right idea when buying gear! Just tell everyone you're buying it for the kiddo.

Like @yongyea4147 said it’s not but check their site if there are others that are. Would definitely be nice if that was an option!

Would like to know how it ‘screams’ with an electric guitar

Well, since it’s an acoustic amp it’s probably not going to be great with an electric guitar.

    • @haleypowersmusic
      @haleypowersmusic  7 місяців тому

Yeah I didn’t even try it! I know most acoustic amps are designed to not break up/overdrive like you would want with an electric amp so now sure how it would sound! Will have to try it!

    • @kimberlybaldwinwhitmire6602

If you want it to “scream”, this is not the e amp for you. You need an amp made for an electric guitar. Don’t waste your money.

you could get a amp simulator pedal like the Two Notes or Boss ones and it would sound pretty good, but those things are a whole 'nother rabbit hole.

    • @jefgat155

That'll depend on what pedals you might use. Being an acoustic amp, it's basically clean, meaning it will accurately reproduce the signal you put into it. Run a "dirt" pedal into it, and you get the sound of the pedal. Don't expect to "push" the amp to create 'grind' or whatever - it's not that kind of amp.
