I feel you on your choice of selective judgment but im giving the dub to Memphis. Noasb trumpets was all over the place missing and over shooting here and there. plus getting drowned out. Memphis had minor deductions compared to noasb 's major ones. lol but to each is own. Mmb has my vote hands down. Coming from a former TxSU drum major and 2011 Mello crab. And I'm from Dallas. 🤷🏾♂️ great performance and execution from both organizations. Next year should be even more interesting indeed.

By far one of the most biased reaction videos I’ve seen. 😂😂😂 Only category Nola won was Loud and maybe range here and there. That’s literally it. They never responded to the songs we had. Their only answer was let’s just play loud every song and that was very predictable. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

You say you wasn't bias, but you clearly was. First and second songs you could not hear nola trumpets unless they hit a tag note or a hungover at the. And I can expect for you to be bias because you clearly hosted the event LOL.

@likemikeonyt if we are really judging not 5-0 but it's definitely not going nola way. I was there and Nola was loud but musically no and trumpets were not present. Memphis tubas did mess up but if we are going of of over all Memphis was the better band all around but that's my opinion 🤷

I think MMB took the win this year to me they music was cleaner and you can actually sing to it. N.O is loud but that's all cant sing to loud music and no instrumentation and musicality just overblowing. They did the same thing last year and took an L from Gamb to me, and my opinion they took another L this year from Memphis doing the same thing they did last year.
You should hear how we was acting super biased at the battle.

Dude!! i said the same thing.. I gave it to New Orleans.. Memphis song selection, and energy is what hurt them imo. their Song "Strung out over you".. when they 1st came in with it i was like, Oh shit.. But after the tuba breakdown, it drastically lost energy and the ending..went from low energy to, no, i don't like this Ish.. The song had very good potential, could have been 1 of the songs of the summer had the 2nd half and ending matched the 1st half.. I still also believe Search and Rescue lacked the punch and energy it had for the GAMB battle. Not sure if it didn't because of Memphis' lack of energy or because they should have saved it for the stands. nonetheless, it did not have the same effect as the GAMB battle. MMB's energy was just not the same as it was for the GAMB battle and that's what i was expecting and wanted to see.
New Orleans- Imo. for the life of me, i do not know why they knowing their trumpets is their weaker section, why they don't pull the trumpets out/forward more. this lack of understanding how to create more of a balance hurts New Orleans. it's VERY easy to manipulate sound if you understand proper placement. Memphis seem to understand this which is why they had their trumpet ahead of everything else.
I gave this battle to NOASB. They had the energy and better song selection. What New Orleans did do right was observed the crowd. It was a high energy crowd and New Orleans read that better and gave the crowd what they wanted. It's like this.. If i have a band and i got to a MEAC game with a MEAC crowd, i'd know to tone things down a bit. But this was not a Meac crowd, There's nothing wrong with a little diversity, but too much can hurt you if the environment don't call for it. . Noasb had the better, energy and song selection, but MMB had a better set up. I honestly though MMB would unleash like they did with GAMB but they didn't.. Or maybe they were saving that for the stands. but based on what i saw last night, even though the live connection was crappy and cut off, again based on what i was seeing, NOASB was dominating the battle. They sounded way more balanced and stronger in the stands. but i don't know what happened after it cut off. OH lol, and when the battle is uploaded, everyone prepare yourself to get pissed at HUMB. lol, Just saying. from what i saw, a lot of people was pissed because HUMB was interrupting, or i'll say, disturbing the battle between NOASB and MMB. everybody was there for MMB and NOASB and HUMB was pissing a lot of people off because they were disturbing the energy of the battle. The other bands got the hint and left but HUMB stayed longer. HUMB cranked on i don't know who, MMB of NOASB but right when NOASB turned to crank on HUMB the video cut out and i don't know what happened after that. There is my 2 cents.

Y'all gave MMB way too much credit after that battle with Gamb I mean so many people were hyping Memphis up and im not hearing or seeing that same energy both bands were just ok with lots of hangovers.
Half da band couldn’t make it due to the timing
