I'm so proud of Emma. She is a princess inside and out, and now she is able to play one of the most modern princesses in what will inevitably be a stunning movie. Emma is such a role model for me and many others. She is inspiring for so many reasons.

Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor, and Ian Mckellen, three of my favorite actors of three of my favorite characters in three of my favorite fandoms all starring and co-starring together in a remake of one of my favorite Disney movies of all time? Heck, yes!! This is one live-action remake I'm totally going to go see.
This movie is so perfect, belle was a major part of my childhood. I love how she's an intelligent character who doesn't rely on getting saved by a prince (e.g. her defiance and her attempt to escape instead of waiting to be saved). I like how she doesn't fall in love at first sight because honestly usually those relationships either just fail or just never happens in real life. I especially love the fact that the main guy is not the usual Prince Charming formula, I guess you could even say that the roles has reversed. When I first read the story I really thought Gaston was going to kill the beast and belle and Gaston would live happily ever after like normal fairytales, but the fact that they made Gaston the jerk and the beast as the hero was really beautiful. Overall kids who watch this can actually take away a really important lesson: don't judge a book by its cover and stand for what you believe in :) The only downside is the main theme for beauty and the beast, as much as i love ariana's voice/songs, this cover had too much pop feel to it, and it kind of takes the nostalgia and magic away from the movie. It would have been better if they at least used the orchestra or violins as the backing. no hate please just my cup of tea :)
I see people complaining how we saw the entire movie through released clips. That is completely incorrect. The movie was absolutely spectacular and despite watching the animated version hundreds of times as a child, I still sat at the edge of my seat and was thrilled with each scene and musical note.
I saw the movie as soon as it premiered and it was amazing. Everything really tied up and a lot of previous questions (*ahem* Belle's mother) were answered with logic and actual historic events that took place during that time. I really urge you to see it as it is just impeccable and to the people who think that they've seen it all from the trailers, you really haven't. The trailers are only supposed to show the tip of the iceberg and these trailers altogether are under 20 Minutes whereas the movie is over 2 hours. No disrespect to anyone at all, and again, it is a must-see for everyone.

The beauty and the beast reminds me of phantom of the opera. The part about the father is tragic and cheesy. So many "awww" moments. The skies are really interesting. The parts about Gaston are really comical. It is weird that the old lady damned everyone in the household and not just the beast.
