Most of them all know each other to some degree and it's usually music by the same beatmakers with the same djs. They've heard a lot of the music, but some stuff that's unreleased gets debuted at battles. Hard to know which though. You can usually tell when a dancer starts adapting to change ups in the song like Laurent in his song. You can tell he didn't know the song since it had an unexpected switchup he had to adapt to. The key to freestyling and making it seem like you know the song is to follow parts that are consistent and then adapt as you feel the music.
