if that fire truck was mine it would get a set of Meritor 166 rears and some major upgrades to the frame, a set of dual 125 gallon tanks, and depending on the engine an NTC475TT.
Weber Auto is correct, very few ran aluminum on the rear back then unless they hauled light loads on highway only, offroad & scale dodgers had problems with aluminum wheels on the rear bending

Very curious as to why the Black/blue truck doesnt have aluminum wheels in the back.....
That’s the way we got it. We think the previous owner didn’t trust that aluminums were strong enough for heavy loads.
