Drainage Tunnel Time-lapse

See how we have constructed one of the seven tunnel shafts required for the new surface water drainage tunnel through Chester city centre and then how the tunnel boring machine operates from the completed shaft. This film covers approx. 4 months work from May to August 2021.

Hi, this is one of seven drainage tunnel shafts, each one is between 7 -12m deep, and approx. 8m diameter, and the drainage tunnel itself is 1.2m diameter. The film shows the shaft located in the Grosvenor Roundabout.
