PEOPLE TREE - Emma Watson in Bangladesh

- People Tree takes Emma Watson to Bangladesh to visit the slum homes of garment factory workers. Emma also visits Fair Trade producer group Swallows to see how People Tree clothing is made. The end result is the new autumn winter collection which is endorsed by Emma Watson.
Emma Watson said: 'Although I wasn't centrally involved in the design of this collection, I had great fun in helping People Tree select some gorgeous Fair Trade textiles -- a dogtooth hand-woven check, cable knits, and the first Fair Trade hand-woven brushed checked fabric which has been made into easy tulip skirts, dresses and shirts. There are even a few party dresses, such as the little black satin tulip dress which can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion'
'Following my summer collection for People Tree I wanted to visit Bangladesh to see the difference Fair Trade makes. The contrast between the slums in Dhaka (the capital of Bangladesh) where the people who work in the garment factories live and Swallows (the Fair Trade community supported by People Tree) was all too apparent. I still find it hard to convey what Fair Trade means to those producing our fashion -- it's just so impressive to see how the women have used Fair Trade clothing to escape poverty and empower themselves and their children. I was moved and inspired.'
Thank You Emma :) Love from Bangladesh !
Emma is a wonderful human being.
Its just impossible not to love her and her amazing heart!
Hello
Are you alive
Not only she is young, she got the efforts to make differences in people's life. She is beautiful and clever and famous yet she is willing to learn and see in order to understand how hard some poor and needy people works in order to earn something in their life, and Emma is willing to take a journey to see how these people work so that they can survives. Bless for Emma and The People Tree...
I cried with this... I love her SO MUCH! Such a very kind act! Congrats for all her successes!
Me too
Not every celebrity comes out of their comfort zone to be of help to people that need it. Emma is of a different sort altogether, an incomparable human being. Lots of love to you.♥️♥️💜💜

my admiration for emma jumped 100folds when she walked through those poverty stricken shanty towns, she can always stay in Oxford n turn a blind eye ...good job
Our politicians didnt visit them but emma did beside it is an another country ; she is the most cutest most adorable women in the world 🥺♥️💯
aww..I love Emma now.
I'm from Bangladesh and this is so sweet of her.
Love you Emma Watson... Love from India 🇮🇳
Well, Bangladesh isn't that bad. I've been living here for about 16 years and discovered a lot of beautiful places like Coxs Bazar, Sundarban etc. The way BD has been demonstrated in this video doesn't exhibit the true elegance of this beautiful country.
Bruh she didn't came here to enjoy holidays or to spend time in luxurious areas. She had been a part of an international project by a fair trade apparel company named People Tree LTD who promotes manufacturing ethics. She visited houses of Bangladeshi garment workers as a part of the project.
Lol...She didnt came to visit Bangladesh😂😂
But you muslims dont like liberals and feminists, dont you ? Or are you those opportunist people who show sympathy to foreigners when they come with some cash and charity projects for you ?
She definitely has good intentions, wants to help, regardless the religion or culture of people, but you would never change your habits or make any efforts
PS: I'm fan of Emma, and I like her and her personality and her vision.
@@saifrashid8701 ig my father has have enough money and i Don't think i need her..u might....and yeah..Emma definetely wouldnt love to hear she has uncouth fans like u
@@touhidulislam422
I don't need her money, i GIVE her money because I'm a true fan and I buy her items blu rays movies and I pay her contributions
Thankyou very very much Emma. I live in Dhaka Bangladesh, I was born there. You saw the way people lived there in slums. I feel so sorry for them. When you were in Rajshahi that is where my father was born, you sall the way people worked. When you came, you made them feel so happy and overjoyed. I think you are amazing and your heart is very kind. You even dressed in our national outfit the salwar kameez. Thankyou so so so much Emma Watson. "cry" "cry" "SMILE"
This is why she is my role model and I absolutely LOVE her!!
I appreciate Emma so much. She is such a kind-hearted, caring individual. She truly takes the time to give back to others and believes in making the world a better place. We need more people like her in the world (and more celebrities like her as well!).
How could I not love it as a Bangladeshi 🇧🇩🇧🇩
Emma Watson is so amazing, wish I could've been able to see her when she visited. (selfishly speaking lol)
But dang, respect to her for being such a humanitarian. Is there nothing that isn't magnificent about this girl! MashAllah. =)

god bless you Emma ,you are doing really good works
It's so weird seeing Emma Watson in my home country! I had no idea she had even heard of Bangladesh
eternalsunshine Yeah i m feeling the same too lol.
I'm huge fan of her and you're so lucky she went there, people around world still go to Bengladesh or India
Unfortunately my country Pakistan doesn't have the reputation for recieving visitors, even when someone goes there he or she will be harrassed by locals and constantly watched, spied and judged by our public on social medias (even in their privacy), even I don't recommend them to come
Now it's even worse since Talibans took over Afghanistan, our people are also radicalized now and have the same mindset and fantasies of Talibans regime, they would certainly not welcome a foreign activist like her, especially a feminist.
Yes
Emma is a real human. She is not only a great actress but also a great social worker. She khows how to respect and love people like Bangladeshis. She's my favourie actress.I wanna meet her.Love you Emma

WOW! Excellent, Emma. You're great. I've always allured you. You spent precious moments of ur life by visiting BD, that's incredible. I don' think anyone else would have cared a straw. I mean, you only visited the dirty slums, and met the poor people. There are other places in BD you would have loved!
Thank you for visiting my country 🇧🇩🇧🇩
It is time to be self dependent Bangladesh women
She has a sweet soul❤️🇧🇩

With all the rich places she could visit..she came to help the poor people..I just love her!I respect her so much..
This is the reason I love her ..... I love you emma

These qualities of Emma Watson made her everyone's favorite and most loveable, and down to earth celebrity in the world.
She should come again as Bangladesh has changed a lot (in a good way)

People Tree is so great! Awareness and care will, or rather, IS changing the world!
Wow!
i love her a lot.
Big fan of Emma Watson.
First seen her in Harry Potter
movie series.
I love my country Bangladesh 🇧🇩♥️
Bangladesh amar ak buk bhalobasha
She looked so pretty in a salwar kameez!
Thanks for coming our country.Emma Watson
Emma, u're really nice...thanks for visiting our country. although u were upset with the condition of the people involved in garment industry, i wish someday that will change and in ur next visit to bangladesh, u will be truly happy..
While I completely agree with what you said about cross mixing classes as somewhat rude, I think her outfit was suited for the occasion. In Bangladesh, it is customary to wear clothes such as those. Hers just happens to be cleaner and more brighter than the inhabitants, but in no way do I think it's rude or even expensive.
awesome job she did...... gotta admire her for that
come again :)
I'm glad to see having her as a role model was not in vain. I'm a year younger then she is, but even I doubt I'd immerse myself so completely in the charity work I might do with her kind of influence. Good on her, really. More girls should look up to being this kind of beautiful, and not the stereotypical hollywood type. Being smart and caring is beautiful!!
I really love people tree, it is a great organisation that will help achieve a better tomorrow. And thank you Emma! I wouldn't have found out about it if it wasn't for you :) Emma really is a great role model.
I am a dude from Bangladesh and it's amazing how half of my generation wont even bother to go through the stuff that Emma did here. Most of us arent even aware how some people are struggling in our country cause we are too busy watching ... guess what ... Harry Potter and such. Respect to Emma. We owe you one. And George Harrison too. Thank you.
she's the best actress for me ,she's super kind and lovable
The thing I like about her is that she is not doing this for publicity like all those other English actors, she actually knows what she is doing and doesnt care who's watching
we all watch stars every now and then in some movies, awards etc. and we do admire and appreciate them for their looks and acting..
but this, this thing deserve something more than admiration..
no doubt i'm a huge fan of hers...and literally influenced by her beauty..
but now i respect her for what she did.. i mean she's barely twenty and she's visiting a slum area, something people do when they crossed their forties..
with all the media around them but she did it in secret..
Deep, India
Emma is such an awesome and nice person :) even she's popular she is there for people who are poor and hungry! Love you Emma
Beautiful and amazing person

LOVE YOU LOVE YOU EMMA
Wow Emma !! That's so nice of you. You r really a gr8 person.
I could never know that Emma visited our country if this was not recommended..
Emma's actions are heartwarming
Speaking as someone from that area of the world, I think Emma actually cares, or she wouldn't have gone. She did the work that they were doing so she could feel the labor that it takes to make all of those clothes. People Tree is a fair trade organization, so those workers will get the amount of money they deserve from their work, as opposed to 5 cents an hour.
❤️❤️💚💚💚 from Bangladesh 🇧🇩🇧🇩
Ye aesi video hy jis sy aj tk un ko paise mil rahy hon gy😆😆😆😆 ye portfolio lush hy tumhara👍
