We love this buffalo chicken piled on hamburger buns. Great for gameday.
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
12 oz. Frank's Red Hot original sauce (look for the original sauce, not the one labeled wings)
1 oz. ranch dressing packet - dip mix works too!
½ cup salted butter (1 stick)
SLOW COOKER SIZE:
5-quart or larger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
Sprinkle over the ranch dressing (or dip) mix.
Pour over the Frank's Red Hot Sauce.
Add the cube of butter on top.
Place the lid of the slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
When the cooking time is up, take two forks and shred the chicken.
Serve over buns and top with ranch or blue cheese dressing. (see my notes below for other serving ideas)

Sweet Baby Rays Buffalo Wing sauce works excellent too. I use it with the ranch packet turned out excellent.

Chicken came out amazing but I found sauce to be too salty . I would use unsalted butter and only half the jar of Frank's .
I agree. 1 cup is what my recipe calls for. An entire bottle is bonkers...
Hi ma'am, so I made this and it was good but it was definitely still a bit too tangy/vinegar-y. I think instead of putting the whole bottle, maybe 3/4 would be better or maybe adding in more butter to balance out that vinegar taste. Unless I did something wrong, but I followed to recipe exactly. I love all your recipes, I've followed this channel for years!
jut try a different brand hot sauce. I like Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo Wing sauce.

Yes, should work fine. I think the sauce and mix has salt in it.

You can freeze this, but won't stay in a patty form.
If i wna put cheese wen would u add im guessing the end. That looked not as thick should i just use more chicken breast?
Franks hot sauce already has a ton of salt. I would personally go with unsalted butter.
How much longer if meat is frozen
About an hour longer, though studies say not to cook frozen meat in the slow cooker.

It looks amazing, love the recipes, but you put ranch in the dish and called it Buffalo... that's just not right.. its possibly illegal in some parts..

Just a fair warning no joke don’t eat this while drinking bad idea no offense. If you do have a fire extinguishers next to the toilet in the morning! Once again it’s delicious but beer doesn’t mix well with this recipe maybe it was just me I don’t know.

not healthy at all ..... you placed full block of butter appx 500gm ... excessive fat ... and full bottle of sauce excessive sodium ....just for 3 breasts only ??
