Warcomp leaks a lot of gas from its ports, which means gas exits from the RC2s collar. The 3 prong flash hider has been proven to make the RC2 substantially more quiet

@@fortknoxpodcast I just came across their P/W 13.7 build with NOX that accepts Deadair, and was curious if it's a good combo or not. Btw - just came across your channel yesterday -- subscribed.
My first suppressor was my "do it all can" (Dead Air Nomad-L) but once I got it I started to prioritize what I really wanted, and now I care more about weight and function more than I do suppression because I'll be shooting with ear pro regardless of whatever suppressor is on a 5.56, so that's why I chose the HUXWRX 556K.
My priority with my first can is reducing gas blowback so I was looking at OSS right out the gate. Of course the new Flow can came out just in time and after calling up the reps at OSS and confirming that the Flow should have the same service life I decided that was the right choice for the 14.5 setup.
Just look at the SIG suppressors. Part of why they were selected with their NGSW was the amount of flow through their suppressors had. Less gas back in your face than shooting a standard non-suppressed rifle supposedly.
Love this video. Really like how you showed the flash mitigation. Not many people show the flash which personal is at the top of my list for desires from a can
Stay rad brother! Love my DA cans, after your advice i bought a wolfman. In short config with a 556 end cap it sounds better than my sandman s and has the most minimal amount of flash
Thanks for doing a flash comparison. So hard to find comparisons of that. I want a 5.56 can and care more about flash reduction and people always say the rc2 is best but it didn’t do as great as I thought. I’m sure it would be better with ammo like mk262 with low flash propellant but so wouldn’t the other cans. I look forward to any future tests like this
That RC2 with the 4 prong was definitely the best performing for flash. But the Sierra 5 seems pretty impressive, although from my perspective I think it performed a bit worse. Except for that first round fireball from the RC2 and the closed tine. It’s good to get another option focused on flash reduction that’s not just from Surefire. Your buddy needs to stop being so stingy with the ammo lol, shoot those things so we can see them work!
Price wise Sierra 5 is cool cause you can swap mounts and end caps etc. 3rd party manufacturers will make some cool shit for it I’m sure. The Sierra 5 is very close to joining them I just need more time with it. I like the knurling a lot because the sandman when warm is tough to get off. Also xeno mounts are better than keymo which unlike the sandman you can use xeno muzzle devices

Man I wish I could use both before making a decision. I’m happy with the low light performance of both. I don’t care for the knurling on the sierra but I absolutely hate the SF mounting system. I feel like if it ever got stuck on my gun I’d just consider it a permanent attachment and not bother with it. I wish the SF would take keymo. Awesome review though. Seeing them give similar results has definitely made me think the sierra is the way to go.
The SF mounting system is literally designed to be able to be safely shot off should it be stuck. It will likely never be truly stuck to the point of not being able to get it off.
@@garrettharkins7558 I know that's a "feature" but it shouldn't have to be. There's no reason carbon should get to the locking mechanism, there's no reason using the warcomp should cause the suppressor to leak/be louder to your ear, the collar cant be manipulated by people running a rail over their suppressor, and risking a baffle strike to remove it is risky considering he said that SF has been rumored to charge a large amount for repairs (probably because they know their mount sucks and free repairs would frequently cost them money)
