Thanks. I love these kinds of sets too. The silver color and sleekness is what I was attracted to. I always want to ride in the back cars because I am a rebel, or it is just cool; sort of like sitting in the back of the school bus.
Very nice video bob. I’m an N scale fanatic and I have lots of N scale sets mainly from Kato of course cause they make the best passenger Train sets of all. I have this CB&Q silver streak Zephyr set plus the other 2 engines numbers 9910A silver speed, and 9911A silver pilot. I got it all on Christmas Day of 2012. And just last year in 2017 for Christmas Day I got an additional 2 engines for this same set that are numbers 9911A silver pilot and 9912A (with no name) in the old 60’s red band colors like the Illinois railway museum has. Be sure to check them out on the Kato website or go to your local hobby shop or next train show and buy them. If you’d like to talk with me about anymore N scale stuff i’m the guy for it. Jason from Saint Louis Missouri.
That is a very nice set! Love the details and the shiny silver finish too. The packaging is very nice as well. Great video. Wish this set would come in HO scale.
This set is on a Model Railroaders monthly calendar wallpaper available on their website. So I see it on my computer background every so often. I love that kind of package as well, I just wish the UP Excursion set had come in that packaging, could have been to many cars to fit or too expensive to create a bigger package. I am surprised that it isn't in HO.
Many thanks, very instructive video. Zephyr kit is just the train right? Next I need to buy the power controller (I saw railpower 1300), next tracks, switches, etc. Is it ok? sorry, beginner question.... :s
+Pompous Catfish I was bummed as well when mine didn't have it either. I have seen it in other sets at a store so I know it is in some of them. Must have run out when they packaged ours. Thanks for watching.
Nice!! I’m thinking of getting this!
Awesome N scale train. Loved the high speed shot. Now for DCC and sound.
Very nice set, Da'Bob!! I've always loved early "shovel nosed" "E's", and they did a great job!
Thanks! Good review.

Great looking set Bob. Thanks for the review. Have a good one,

Thanks for posting. Look forward to a video on the Denver show.
Thanks for watching. I hope the Rocky Mountain Train Show is a great event. I have been to some lame ones before.
Looove that minute or so of film score-type music at 9:12.

Yabadabado Flintstone very nice
This train looks almost exactly the one in the old Superman cartoon!
i own the same one and it has to be my favorite
Bob always look forward to your reviews. This is one fine looking set I plan on picking one up for $167 from Model Train Stuff.
Thank you, I am getting back to doing reviews soon. I have a layout to get running again first.
Thanks also good job with the video and I will hopefully see you there!
hi Bob... great looking set.. excellent review... thanks for sharing... vinny
Nice train and review !
Thanks Vinny. If it came in BNSF colors you might want one too. It is part Burlington so it could work.
I'm going to pick one up with an m1 track set for 120
This is the reason i regret not taking n scale

Yes this kit is just the train, I think there is also a version with track and controller for DC.
@@DaBobsNScaleMancave Thank u sir.
BEAUTIFUL
Such a pretty train!
I do like the silver color and the speed is awesome.
Nice set Bob!
Thanks Bill. They are still out there if you want to get one.
Very nice set, does it come with the track, power supple...etc????
This one did not come with the track and power supply. There is a version that does come with that.
Nice video
Thank you.
I have the same train, with DCC and Sound
Do all the passenger cars have metal wheels??
Hey bob when will you be at the Rocky Mountain train show?
Probably all day on Sat or at least most of the day. We will be there at opening.
A new video is up on my channel, check it out.
I bought this set, but it didnt come with the front coupler, or any of the apparatus that holds it up. I didn't even get the little metal strip.

Why Are These Not Articulated Wheel Sets
Probably because you always need at least 4 wheels per truck to keep the wheels on the rail, plus it is prototypical this way.
