Watching in 2024. Recently got back into these greats after first falling in love with them with my middle school introduction to Whiskey On A Sunday and they're just as good now as they were then. Hope to see them live one day soon. They're something truly special. Visited Ireland last year with family and to see them live would be all the sweeter. Slainté.
Only 3 comments (now) and only 1500 views?! Did we somehow just move on from Flogging Molly? Did society just forget how friggin' incredible this band is?
Lots of great memories (especially live), but yeah I think the celtic punk thing was really inflated back between 2005-2010 roughly. New bands emerged for me in the punk music scene to discover and yep, I certainly moved on for a bit.
@@martinflatschacher3760 Agree. I like King and if you like good hard rock you would be shocked at how good the first 2 Fastway albums are......very different from this. I can only take this Celtic-punk thing in small doses....kinda corny..
I like this acoustic stuff more than their electric stuff. Sometimes less busy is better, at least to my ears. The Rumjacks are another amazing band with Irish roots that I've been getting into lately.
SETLIST 0:15 Drunken Lullabies 5:34 (No More) Paddy's Lament 10:29 The Guns of Jericho 15:18 Life in a Tenement Square (blooper) 17:17 Life in a Tenement Square 21:36 What's Left of the Flag 27:17 If I Ever Leave This World Alive
Such a great band . That being said. David Kings voice is a gift granted to only a few people . Happy he chose to be a singer instead of the alternatives which are endless 😊
I miss this music, sounds of a simpler more realistic time. Life has become surreal and hollow. I would wish the world good luck if I thought it help, but it won't. So I shall grab a cold beer and watch as reality implodes while I listen to Flogging Molly play beautiful music at the end of the world. Cheers 🍺
I thank them for letting feeling young to never get old. I'm 75 and still rockin'; whether it's FM, Rory Gallagher, the Chieftans or any other Irish band, I will always let Irish music let me feel younger than I am. God bless all of you!!
Feels like I've Loved these guys for so long I got turned on to them back 2004-05ish and it's amazing how from back then connecting with the a song then finding your way back to it, how you can reconnect in a whole new way apart from how you first could relate and connect
healing my broken heart..... Feels great to be back in the fight! little by little, things will be alright for ALL of US! gotta love those drunken lullabies. Good for the soul haha. we all mess up in life and sometimes life is not fair. it hurts but its a painful reminder to learn from our mistakes to become better people. May you all live FOREVER!
Hey Amazing Music here! Just one thing, I can see dark screen at the end and this may hurt the video performance:) You can trim it on the youtube studio!
It's acoustic, it will never be heard over all that. There's no mix that's the point. You captured the room and only the room. Most of the time Bassist will actually either play a guitar during these sessions or an acoustic bass. A little surprised he has his electric.
