Great video. Downtown has added close to 30 high rises/skyscrapers since 2000. Great to see the growth. As opposed to our much smaller neighbor up 45, it hasnt changed since 1989.

@@Ceme2 trust me there is a bunch of us who enjoy lights, yes size of downtown matters a lot. but the more lights, the more modern it looks at night. example dallas, at night… i would say it beats houston
For the longest time that was a blue authorization zone on the DJI flysafe map, which prevented your drone from taking off in that area. That is no longer the case. You are still in the class B controlled airspace for the Hobby airport right there, but LAANC is available up to 200ft on the west side of the district (including the Rice University campus) but on the east side of the district, you are limited to 50ft. The controlled airspace rule is still in effect, and I think that is what is preventing people from flying there.
