Outstanding win tonight. Once again, Chris Sale with another incredible outing, 7 scoreless for him and just massive shoutout to this starting pitching staff, they are the reason the braves have won so many games even with the offense not at its best. Bummer and Stephens also great work in the bullpen. Offense today had a great game as michael and olson homered, he had a great game, same with ozzie. Great all around win to secure the series win, charlie on the mound tomorrow looking for the series sweep. Let’s go braves #ForTheA

The Braves bats were the Braves of old last night, it appears that Matt Olson has finally woke up but the story of the game here is Chris Sale's dominant performance of the Cubs, he was masterful out there last night and I can't say anything more about it so let's bring out the brooms later this evening with Charlie Morton on the mound.

As an avid Braves fan, I'm starting to get a bit concerned with Akuna. Performance is definitely lacking, getting picked 3 times in the past 3 games at 1st, and more importantly is what appears to be a general lack of effort. That fly ball should have been routine, but his causal style of late saw him jogging before he realised it was falling short. Not the first time I've watched this lack of hustle cost a play either.
I love the guy when he's on fire, but if this don't improve in at least the effort, maybe a stint in AAA might help him wake up.

hes getting picked off cuz he stole a lot last year for being mvp. high risk, high reward and many teams no to not let acuna run, its apart of the game. not sure entirely on the fly ball but his defense is usually very good. I think AAA is just a wild imagination if hes not injured. even if his defense lacks or he's struggling on offense, hes still a threat on base when he gets walks. I think he just needs to be more closer to the bases and hes fine if wants to steal again, actually, im more fine if he still tries to steal more and gets picked off more, cuz stealing is adding more risk to runs and id rather see him stealing than not.
