    This is THE BEST explanation I’ve had so far on using my computer. I have Quilt Path through APQS and our program is essentially the same as QCT. To date no one has been able to explain it to me like you just did and I can’t thank you enough for your very understandable audio and visual explanation. I have been waiting to find someone like you. I will be a fan from now on. Thank you, thank you!!! You made my day!!!!!

      Wow! So glad that you found it helpful 🙂Thanks for sharing those kind words ~ you've made my day, too❣
      I really need to update this video since the ability to stagger a row has been added since then.
      P.S. We moved from GA to a new-build house in TN at the end of last year and it's been slow getting started back up! 🤪

    Janet, thanks for one more clear and concise video. I have been unable to actually quilt anything since last Nov and really appreciate that you have taught me how to use QCT5 Pro!! Once Christmas is behind us I have a number of quilts lined up to quilt. Now I feel ready and empowered. Thank you! Hope you are staying safe and well! Enjoy your holidays!

      Glad you will be ready to get back to quilting!! There are 3 pdf files at the QCT page that are 1-page Quick References - on Power Panto, EZ mode and Quilting Interface. (Still working on the one for Basic.) They aren't really tutorials...but are meant to be helpful to the person who only gets to quilt sporadically. They may be something you would appreciate having.
      Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

    OMG! I'm so glad to find you. I have Quilt Path V5, and there are no or really bad tutorials on it. This software looks exactly like it. Do you know if it is? Also, I did not understand about changing the height to 95% or 90% and how you would even know what percentage to put there. I have a 14' table and a Millennium. I've never had a problem with the design not quilting completely.

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 2 роки тому

      The different brand machines have slight variations in the software but basically it's the same. Non-Quilt Path users have a Gold Card that I think comes standard with your software.
      There's an updated video for Power Panto that shows using the new stagger feature:

    Thanks for the videos! I don't have the little diamonds to adjust the design for the last row. How do I get those? I need to take off about an inch at the end of my quilt so that I don't sew on the leader.

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper Рік тому

      In version 5, in Zone Mgr, you have to choose the Center zone placement option to get the partial diamonds at the bottom.

    Thank you for your instruction. Do I need to reduce the zone height percentage if I am using an idler rail?

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 2 роки тому

      No, no need to reduce for idler because whatever safe area you set, it's a percentage of that.

      Tap on red tool box and select Release Sewing Machine -- that will give you manual control of your machine, so that you can baste up sides. When thru, tap on OK on screen and then QCT has control again.

    Greetings, Thanks again for all your awesome work on these videos. I have one question. When using Power Panto and moving to the next zone on a nested Panto do you need to measure where the next zone needs to begin the way you do in QCT 5 Beginnings? Thanks!
    Blessings Sister Trish

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 3 роки тому +1

      No, no measuring to do like in Beginnings! That's one of the nice things about Pro version - you get to enter entire height of quilt and QCT will give you the exact zone placement for next zone and it doesn't matter if the panto pattern is nested or not. Sweet!

    where did you get the clips that helped you keep tension on the quilt top? It's the gadget that goes underneath and clips on the top and then the clip is attached to it?

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 3 роки тому

      I started out with Side Grips by Leader Grips. I busted the top clamps so replaced them with mondo clips (Clip n Seal from Amazon). When I got the Q'21, the rods were too short (and Clip n Seal rods too flexible). So I got Cafe curtain rods from Walmart. I taped them in place to size needed and tied ribbons to ends.

    Love these training videos - so very helpful! Does anyone know how to make/print a "catalog" of design patterns contained in the software including purchased designs?

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 3 роки тому

      In the Files of QCT Facebook is a file of patterns that come with QCT.
      For purchased patterns, I have them loaded on my laptop and printed out the file showing artwork for each.

    Can the height in the zone be changed when your quilting I have it set at 90 but I’m working on a queen quilt and losing quilting space

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper Місяць тому +1

      Yes, you can change the zone % height - and it does not change anything about the panto size - but you need to make sure that the inches that show in Zone Manager (under the height % amount) really are the inches that are available to quilt in. Move your machine all the way back and measure from where the needle is to where the needle is when you move machine all the way forward. You don't want QCT to think it has more than that amount when it really doesn't.

    Janet -- I have updated to QCT5 (mid level -- not beginnings or gold) and I can't seem to find this screen when I open Panto from the main screen. What tier of software was used when creating this video? Thanks.

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 5 років тому

      This was made using Pro (so not Beginnings and not Gold). All I can think is to make extra sure that under Panto Mode - to right of Select Pattern at bottom left of screen - that Power Panto is selected. If that's not it....you got me stumped!

      @@Joyfulstamper Janet-- Eureka! Now I see it. Guess I need to take some time and go over all the screens more carefully. I do wish that Grace would have provided some kind of release note (what changed 4 v. 5) document with the installation process. Note taking now begins! Thanks so much for the help.

    Janet George,,,,, i have just upgraded to this software and would love to install this version on my laptop to use it in simulation mode , but when i instll the original software and go to update, it says it has no updates! How do i get the newer version for simulation mode?

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 3 роки тому

      So if these are the steps you followed with your laptop (which I assume they are and that you had internet turned on) - if you don't see the newest version, then I would just call Grace to get it taken care of:
      1. From Home screen, tap on Help
      2. Tap on Software Management
      3. Tap on Check for Updates
      4. Tap on Update now from on-line files
      5. If you don't see Select to begin updating to Update: Version 5.05.59 (or whatever most current version is for your brand machine) -- then call Grace!

    Would you recommend you make width bigger than the actual quilt width to allow for it to first start on the batting

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 5 років тому +1

      With Power Panto, where all the rows are wrapped, I would start and end just off quilt top edges. While you could start and end right at the edges, your quilt would need to be square and kept exactly square on the rails.

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 4 роки тому +1

    I have tried a least a dozen times again today - I'm STILL getting a pink screen when I set up my power panto. I have followed the steps carefully with the same pink screen results..............what the devil am I doing wrong - so discouraged.

    • @Joyfulstamper
      @Joyfulstamper 2 роки тому +1

      if you are using the yellow ruler to measure - and have made sure that your Safe Area width is greater than the Total Width entered on panto screen (and preferably by a minimum of several inches) - then check that your belts are still nice and snug tight.
      Other than that, I'd call Grace and let a tech there work with you on determining what the problem is.
      This is the video I tried to explain everything about Safe Area as it relates to a Zone:
