All the instructors I have in group settings often say... if you wanna look more feminine focus on hips, if you wanna look more masculine focus of shoulders. What is your take on this? GREAT! May I offer two suggestions for future lessons? move your camera in closer, and wear lighter clothes. It makes it easier to see and follow your movements.

I’d say I agree with that. Generally what makes a lead look masculine in my opinion is taking care of his partner and expressing musicality.
