Funny you should mention wanting to see a movie where they need to be disguised. In the book series by Robert Ludlum, Jason Bourne is called "The Chameleon". He can blend in and disguise himself anywhere in the world. That said... the books tell a very different story. Same names, some of the same places. But different. A rare scenario where you can't really compare the books to the movies... they're both good if you like spy thrillers.

Instead, you call in from an outside line and tell the desk you need a rollaway bed sent up bu you can't remember your room number. Then tell them they can just leave it outside the door because you'll be there in about 15 minutes. Second, the answer to your question is yes, you can transfer a fingerprint if the print is perfect and the object you're transferring it to will accept the tape. I'm a retired homicide detective from Baltimore City Maryland. Back in the 80's and 90's, fingerprints were lifted by using tape to lift the print, then transferred to a card for examination. Keep up the great channel. You're wonderful.
Yes, you can copy a fingerprint with tape. It has to be very high quality tape. The print will leave a unique visual trace on the tape which can be read by optical scanners. Another common method used by coroners is vaporized super glue.

I'm entertained by the idea that someday Dawn will be practicing espianage, and will call a halt to the action in the middle of a firefight, in order to consult her handy book of notes from the Bourne movies.
Chase scenes are a lot like fight scenes. There are rapid-fire, momentary situations of success and failure and skill and luck. If you think of them more like that, I think you'll find them a bit more enjoyable.
With you being bored of car chases, it's like my wife with sci-fi movies. Any time it's showing ships doing something or shooting at each other, she gets bored in about 3.05 seconds and starts saying, "Flying through space, flying through space, flying through space..." I like those moments where they think they're a step ahead of Bourne but he's really two steps ahead of them, like the "She's standing right next to you." and "You look tired, Pam." My favorite one of those in this entire series is in the next movie, The Bourne Ultimatum. As to the series, after Bourne Ultimatum in 2007, there is The Bourne Legacy in 2012, but it's a little different. They are branching out, where they show that Jason Bourne wasn't the only one, so instead of Matt Damon, it has Jeremy Renner as another agent like him. And then it does get back to Matt Damon in 2016 with a movie just titled Jason Bourne.
23:33 In the books Bourne is known as the chameleon. his ability to blend in to any location is the biggest edge he has against his opponents. Sometimes they are slightly elaborate but most of the time it can be as simple as ball caps.
"...hide behind the curtains because they'd never think that you were going to do that." You're killing me, Dawn! It's such a cartoonish cliche that it might work! Genius!
I say this on every video, but you deserve so many more followers. Your reactions are priceless and actually very insightful. You may say boy movies are confusing, but your predictions are very accurate most of the time.
just gotta say your commentary is some of the best I've seen from a reaction channel. This is a semi serious action movie and you have so many hilarious one liners. Cracks me up but never change.
Mythbusters tested whether you can pull a fingerprint from something to use on a fingerprint security device and whether you can put a magazine in a toaster and blow up a house. I recommend watching it’s a great show.
Another excellent reaction and once again confirming how entertaining it is to watch a movie with you. Your point about how realistic many of the scenes is on the mark. What set this apart at the time was it was a spy thriller without gadgets, super villains with world domination as the goal, and really government workers doing a job and not really understanding what rich people were doing. Glad you enjoyed it and think you will have a good Riley with the next one.
As other commenters already mentioned, there are more than 3 movies in the series but the 4th is kind of a reboot with a new Treadstone operative (Jason Bourne is mentioned though). I never saw the 5th movie.
Him blowing up the room by igniting the gas with the toaster is legit. There is one problem. Bombs have their power rated by how many KG of explosives they contain. If you blow the gas in a house like that there is very little actual weight. Very good chance it won't even break the windows in the house. (that shot was filmed with a building or model full of actual explosives)
Just watched your reaction...another great viewing experience!!! Keep up the great work!!! Also, ever thought of doing a reaction to "Red Dwarf" and "The Benny Hill Show"? Both came from England, "Red Dwarf" in the 80's, and "Benny Hill" in the 60's-70's. I think you'll like both!!!
The Bourne series gets progressive better I think. I enjoy re-watching the series with others who haven't seen it and look forward to your reactions to the rest of the films. Great review.
The first three get progressively better, I agree, but I was disappointed by the fifth movie - to me it felt like an unnecessary rehash just to make more money from the franchise. It was ok, but I felt like I'd seen it all before.
Fun reaction Dawn. Don’t leave The Bourne Ultimatum too Long cause it directly ties in to the events in this one. The 4th The Bourne Legacy doesn’t feature Jason Bourne but follows another operative in the same programme as JB. The 5th Jason Bourne goes back to JB & ties most of the ends up. You could switch 4 & 5 order if you just want to see JBs story and watch Legacy later.
I always say that the word "effort" sounds like Pig Latin. The "she's standing next to you" scene is what makes this movie the best one, but they are all good.
Ohhh Goody goody goody. Thanks in advance Dawn Marie...now....press play Edit: Dawn Marie, @ 23:33 I have the movie that will fulfill your wish. "The Saint" with Val Kilmer Love you dear. (and the spectacles) Thanks again
@@krs4976 I love the opening sequence when he is in disguise and is there to embarrass the Professor as a fraud whilst talking to her shoulder to shoulder. Yes, a very under rated film. Val Kilmer has always been overlooked. His Doc Holiday performance should have got him an Oscar. Somewhere deep down in the history of Hollywood he pissed off the wrong people. Oliver Stone perhaps?
If you want to know whether you can really blow up a house with the gas pipe and a toaster, the Mythbusters tested it. Check out their episode 161 from 2011. Or if you can't wait, Wikipedia has a brief summary of the episode.
@ 20:35 ... Jason rememberd in his flashback that he killed Neski & Neski's wife. Conklin had Jason kill Neski 'off the books' because Neski knew about the stolen CIA money ($750,000).
"Why aren't you in a better hotel room if you're Yuri Gretkof?" "I'm Yuri Gretkof, and I have diamond membership with this hotel, supposed to give me automatic suite upgrades! I demand to speak to the manager!"
DM, I need to correct you on one thing, Jason Bourne goes Jason Bourne on people, and John Wick WISHES he could go Jason Bourne on his victims, but he needs to rely on guns to do his job, and Jason uses ANYTHING in arm's reach. Jason doesn't kill 3 guys with a pencil, he does it with a rolled up magazine, a book, a pen, a cord, a toaster, etc. or just his bare hands. John's good, but Jason's, as tony The Tiger says, He's Grrr-e-aaat !!! Now, DM, NO (!!!), in jail is the PERFECT place for an assassination ... so he doesn't want to do that ...not even for a moment.
There are really 5 movies in the entire series. The first 3 including the next one The Bourne Ultimatum, then there is The Bourne Legacy which only alludes to Jason, and stars Jeramy Renner and is a good flick and gives some more answers, then there is Bourne, the last one and it’s got Jason back and is also a good movie.
"You guys give him what he's trying to remember and he'll play nice with you." Not too shabby thinking there. I've seen this before and you were smarter than the writers with that comment. Give a carrot to a bunny and you can just put it in a cage peacefully. Run after it and you'll be digging in holes looking for it all day.
In the books, Marie does not die, at least not this early. She lasts much, much longer. "She's standing right next to you" is probably the most classic line in this movie, maybe the whole series. At the end when you said, "If I was Pamela, I would assume that I was always being watched", it made me think of the movie "The Mother", starring Jennifer Lopez. It's a newer, excellent movie that maybe you react to. For anyone that read the books, we already knew his name was David Webb. He is also a professor at a university. I think they never go to Missouri. Plus, the guy that kills himself, also does not die in the books. In fact, he eventually helps Jason out on a mission. FYI, the books are way better than the movies.
Great video! Mad Dog Dawn learning spy craft; we should all be afraid. I think one reason you might've liked this one better, was that you knew the main character, they didn't have to explain everything like in the first one. Lifting a fingerprint from one place and then planting it somewhere else is possible, but not easy. There are 3 more Bourne movies. It goes one with Matt Damon, then one without Matt Damon, a different main character, but in the Bourne universe, then Matt Damon comes back for one more. Hopefully that made sense. They're all good. Apparently, Matt is thinking of doing one more before he's too old. Glad you're enjoying them. After you finish Bourne, you can start Mission Impossible. On to the next one!
Government three letter agencies refer to the roster of tips and tricks he draws on as "tradecraft" I was impressed by how close the the first film followed the sort of thing done in the real world. In this film they felt a need to "jazz it up" somewhat. The later sequels lost most connection with physical reality.
" The mooovy rule makers make the rules"!! Holy smokes Dawn, never seen a Julia Stiles Hey-err before. Reemamber this ending. It will serve you well in the fewchuh!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
Speaking as a boy - OK, a 68-year old one - I totally agree with you about car chases being boring. Please use your enormous influence to have Hollywood ban them. Thanks.
Dawn Marie, you need to react to Every Which Way But Loose. It's a 1970s Clint Eastwood movie that you will really like. I don't see any reactions to it either.
Maybe DM should watch "Ronin". Best car action scenes in recent movies that I can think of, so there is a chance she wouldn't fall asleep. And watch "Who Am I?", for a light-hearted Jackie Chan version of a Bourne movie.
All you need to lift a fingerprint is some graphite from a laser printer or a pencil ground down (tip only no wood) and clear masking or shipping tape. Take that lifted print and press it on a clean or mailable surface and there you go. Of course, more sophisticated methods exist but those require 3d printers or mission impossible movie level equipment.
Marie I recommend watching 3, it is a stand alone prequel. An insane chase scene that might change your mind. Possible love story and best of all there are a bunch of How To Tips for your 2nd life as an elite assassin. There is another movie I think you would really enjoy titled "The Baker" 2007 it's a killer comedy.
Dawn Marie: "If you are doing something where you got to shoot yourself in the head if you get caught; you shouldn't be doing it!" I'll try to remember.
There's actually 5, the Bourne Legacy, although it's really just "Bourne adjacent". I don't know how it ranks as a good movie on its own, but I like it
I think that you probably could blow up a house like that, but those gas lines aren't that easily broken. The movie characters always know facts they couldn't. Like they'll say something like "We'll meet you at 7," but they don't say where. It bugs me that people never turn off a car's headlights and always park so they have to walk a long way to get to where they're going. Highly intelligent AI robot's targeting programs always miss when firing at their primary target.
Dawn, great reaction even though you’re somewhat confused most of the time. I’ve watched all these films so many times and I understand why you think this was better than the first one, the good news is that I think that each one is better than the previous one, with the possible exception of the fifth and final one. No spoilers, but your assumptions are wrong for the plot of the next film, it’s way better than that and I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction.

I got my driver’s license in Nixa, MO. Anybody from Southwest MO probably got a kick out of it the first time hearing where he was born.
Another lovely reaction.
"Did your parents not leave you anything? Why are you living in that shit hole?"
I CHOKED

In the books Bourne is known as the chameleon. his ability to blend in to any location is the biggest edge he has against his opponents.
In south London, the tightly rolled up weaponised newspaper is know as a "Millwall Brick" 🤫
just gotta say your commentary is some of the best I've seen from a reaction channel.
Great reaction! These first three films are a great story, and tell the treadstone story like a massive 3 act story. Can't wait for the next one 👍👏
Ive had a peanut that tasted like a clump of dirt. Macadamia's are my favorite, especially the extra toasty one in the can. YUM!
Dawn would make the perfect assassin. Who would ever suspect her?
The next was my favorite in this series. Thanks for reacting to this, Dawn.
@11.40min, it's Marton Csokas (Kingdom of heavens, the debt) vs Clyde Owens
I love your proclaimed expertise in every movie you watch. It's so great listening to your claims and how you justify it :)
I always say that the word "effort" sounds like Pig Latin. The "she's standing next to you" scene is what makes this movie the best one, but they are all good.
Ohhh Goody goody goody. Thanks in advance Dawn Marie...now....press play
Edit: Dawn Marie, @ 23:33 I have the movie that will fulfill your wish. "The Saint" with Val Kilmer
Love you dear. (and the spectacles) Thanks again
Very under rated film
If you love westerns, 2 great ones are Jeremiah Johnson and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Not.
I think there were 5 films and a 10 episode TV series called Treadstone eventually.
Thanks for another cool reaction video. 👍🏻
@ 20:35 ... Jason rememberd in his flashback that he killed Neski & Neski's wife. Conklin had Jason kill Neski 'off the books' because Neski knew about the stolen CIA money ($750,000).
CIA the most corrupt organisation in the world MK Ultra, operation paperclip
"Why aren't you in a better hotel room if you're Yuri Gretkof?"
"I'm Yuri Gretkof, and I have diamond membership with this hotel, supposed to give me automatic suite upgrades!
@16:00 ... Jason (and we) knew about the protest march (from posters we saw) and he used it to his advantage.
Cant lie Dawn looks like such a cutey scientist/ librarian in those specs
There are really 5 movies in the entire series. The first 3 including the next one The Bourne Ultimatum, then there is The Bourne Legacy which only alludes to Jason, and stars Jeramy Renner and is a good flick and gives some more answers, then there is Bourne, the last one and it’s got Jason back and is also a good movie.
HE IS ON THE BLOODY TRAM‼️‼️‼️😆😆😂😂😂
I liked that
The final scene actually takes place at the end of bourne 3... enjoy
Dawn says "Supremacy" all the time to describe her channel.
"... we're in a simulation" BUSTED!!
2:03. He was talking about Marie.
Some say men seldom make passes at girls in glasses. I would 100% make an exception for you!! Franka Potente was also in The Bourne Identity.
The third is my favorite. The train station scene is incredible.
I count the second as my favorite. But i love the way the story was structured in the 3rd, ir was quite clever.
32:17 Best line ever
Long car chases in movies however are great times for BJ's, you don't miss anything during them. 😊
Government three letter agencies refer to the roster of tips and tricks he draws on as "tradecraft" I was impressed by how close the the first film followed the sort of thing done in the real world. In this film they felt a need to "jazz it up" somewhat. The later sequels lost most connection with physical reality.
if you want people wearing faces for a stealth mission you may want to look into mission impossible. I know a few of them have that.
Thanks.
Marton Sokas the "gúy" you saw, Celeborn in The LOrd of Rings movies. and in other movies as well.
And Marie's killer is Karl Urban, Eomer in LOTR, Dredd in "Dredd" and Butcher in "The Boys". Also Dr. McCoy in the new "Star Trek " movie series..
That's harder than it sounds😏; when you get told to use just the "tip", of course you have to fight the urge to slip ALL of the "wood" in!😂
Prison would be a disaster, no place to run and people can be sent whenever
Marie I recommend watching 3, it is a stand alone prequel. An insane chase scene that might change your mind. Possible love story and best of all there are a bunch of How To Tips for your 2nd life as an elite assassin. There is another movie I think you would really enjoy titled "The Baker" 2007 it's a killer comedy.
It's not s prequel. It overlaps the second film and has flashbacks.
Dawn Marie: "If you are doing something where you got to shoot yourself in the head if you get caught; you shouldn't be doing it!" I'll try to remember.
you should watch the movie Pathfinder staring Karl Uban. he is playing the part of the assassin in the movie you watching right now.
There is a fourth one: "Jason Bourne"
There's actually 5, the Bourne Legacy, although it's really just "Bourne adjacent". I don't know how it ranks as a good movie on its own, but I like it
23:33 if you’re wanting to watch people wear disguises, Mission: Impossible is your franchise!
Awesome reaction of my favorite Bourne movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Dawn, great reaction even though you’re somewhat confused most of the time. I’ve watched all these films so many times and I understand why you think this was better than the first one, the good news is that I think that each one is better than the previous one, with the possible exception of the fifth and final one. No spoilers, but your assumptions are wrong for the plot of the next film, it’s way better than that and I’m looking forward to seeing your reaction.
They keep getting better, third one is the best
