The fact that Ben and Ray sounded exactly like 75-year-old Jewish grandparents in 1962 is horrifying. Poor Howard. Could you *imagine* growing up in that house?!
I think it’s part of both what makes Jewish kids grow up determined to be successful but also causes so much nervousness, one of my best friends growing up was Jewish and when his father got home from work oh man it was very reminiscent of this, even down to the point of questioning us all about the current politics, news, school etc.
My dad would make us turn the tv off and sit there in silence at dinner while he bit his fork every bite he took biting down on the fork and grinding his teeth on it I wanted to die

That and Howard relies on insanely over-compressed multiband compression to make him sound like he has a bassy voice, but it objectively sounds ridiculous... from the 2000s on you can play the show with the audio turned way,WAY down and his voice is still moving the sub woofer like it's an N.W.A song.
