This is the first time ever that I have heard what the gift of prophecy actually is, which I really appreciate hearing that today. Most churches tend to shy away from that subject that in the gift of discernment or any other kind of what they would consider "supernatural" gifts. They either go full force into it and believe all lies or they hide everything. So again, thank you for educating on the difference between prophecy and the gift of prophecy.
Idk what was up with me when I was young in my faith, but a I was watching a video on the WPS UA-cam channel and I watched it liked any other video. Jump forward to the present, and I can see how this man loves God (even when I watch WPS).
I have claimed to be Christian most of my life, but the calling has never been like now. I have stayed non-denominational as I prefer Bible based fellowship. I have always believed theology is important but also see a thin line between theology and ideology.
Wow talk about misrepresented material Joseph never claimed Christ would return in 1890's, you lost a follower John, I will take my testimony of the restoration and Brother Joseph.
Most people judge Mormons the same way the pharisees judged Christ with absolute ignorance and assuming the Bible is the only testimony of Christ. I'll bet he never even read the Book of Mormon or the doctrine of Covenants.
@@WarriorPoetSociety You're are misunderstanding Paul's words for sure. Lets consider these facts one by one. 1. Christ appeared to people even after he resurrected. 2. It was the job of the disciples to spread the message, this is why Paul was important because he wanted him to spread the message to the gentiles (all nations). 3. There was people living in the Americas at that time and they did not record their history like we did. How would the message get their as Columbus didn't sail the ocean blue for another 15,00 years. God appeared to them. The Book of Mormon is part of the same gospel. I know cause I am one. The bible is a book of testimonies we believe it cause we hear God's voice that's why I don't believe the Quran or the Talmud. I hear Gods voice when I read the Book of Mormon.
Salvation lies only in The True Church, The Holy Catholic Church, outside of which there is absolutely no salvation. "The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the 'eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels' (Matthew 25:41), unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church" - Cantate Domino, Council of Florence, 1441.
Your statement is directly contradictory to the Word of God. "Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead-by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the Stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief Cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God." - John 1.
Neither of those passages contradict what I posted. Yes, there is only salvation in Jesus, but Jesus demands we be united to His mystical Body, the Church. There is only one Church. When God sent the flood upon Noah, there was only one arc, and everyone outside of it was destroyed. This was a type of the Church.
