    Good video explanation!
Though I have a question: all the suggestions of the priest being and acting “queer” and Cotton’s ambiguous sentences does imply that the priest was an homosexual? Just I question, please tell me if I misinterpreted!

      Thank you!
This is my interpretation and obviously every reader can and will make their own interpretations.
      1. Priest was homosexual and at that time, it was considered immoral.
      2. Priest was a predator who preyed/molested young boys. Again at that time, this was not openly talked about. Perhaps, that is why the narrator saw the priest in his dream trying to confess something. And the narrator felt relief upon his death and didn't want to enter his shop/place.
Hope this clears things a bit!
