Having been homeless before. Yes, it may seem strange to see a man sweeping in front of his tent that's in a storm drain. But just because something has really gone sideways in your life and you find yourself living in a tent in a storm drain. That doesn't mean you have to live like a slob, like the others were. The man has enough respect for himself to at least try to keep his living space as clean as it can be in a storm drain. I have more respect for that man than I do the man with a gun. I hope he's able to find a way out of his situation.
I was able to find my way out of my situation. I now own my home and property out in the East Texas countryside outright. Meaning I don't owe anyone a f'ing thing for it. Hopefully that man will be able to do the same someday.

I know that area. If you read the signs posted on the bridges it basically asking people to stop shooting their guns there. There use to be more homeless around there. That area was also hit by a Serious tornado in the late 2010s.
