It's not just young girls that Gracie inspires... i'm about 10 years older than her and I dance around my living room to Lawrence and admire Gracie's ability to sing like THAT while dancing around. Y'all are the BEST!
"There's a sort of empowerment in acknowledging your insecurities, and then, even with all that, still finding a way to love yourself and love your appearance." Gracie you are a true queen for everything about this song. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
One of the things that me and probably most of your fans love about the band is that you're so authentic! You know you're beautiful and we love you all!
My daughter and I have tickets to one of your Jonas shows in November - she's talking about what she'll wear.... and she doesn't have freckles above her knees - but she's drawing them in!
Thank God for Lawrence. As a music-obsessed teenager who grew up in the 80’s (a decade of endless, rapid-fire great new artists and songs), I was at the point of despair for the future of music. I was convinced that no one making music today understood how to write great songs with catchy grooves and hooks. And then I found Lawrence. And the future looks a bit brighter. And man, can those Lawrence kids sing.
Gracie, hearing you get emotional about the girls gravitating to those parts of yourself made me feel emotional!! You have SO much to give and it's so awesome seeing others benefit from your vulnerability and realness!!! WE LOVE THE UNPERFECT PACKAGE
Gracie, I hope you can read this! I want to encourage you!! I’m finally getting around to watching this series, and it’s awesome so far! I just wanted to encourage you that you are very beautiful. Please know that’s a genuine compliment! Your authenticity and vulnerability as an artist is what makes you so attractive! Keep being yourself, cause you’re killin it! 😊
Folks, I have no idea how much work went into this, but I gotta say every single one of you comes across as effortlessly intelligent, articulate, and charming. And, yes, gorgeous, but that's beside the point. You watch these things because you sort of can't get enough of the band, and you're not really expecting casual brilliance, but here we are.
Eventhough Lawrence‘s music is sometimes not 100% up my alley - which is fine - it‘s the authenticity that draws me to the band over and over again. I can only imagine how much guts it takes to be and stay authentic in the music industry, but oh boy it feels like a breath of fresh air. You‘re the antidote to so many pop personas crafted solely to make money with music and I‘ll always love and respect you for it.
Gracie has one huge personal advantage over most Only Girls In the Band: Her big brother is the bandleader. So no horndog problems within the band - Clyde would have read the riot act to anyone he suspected of not regarding her as a sister, and very probably fired him. And no horndog problems outside the band, because she's got seven brothers to stand up for her, talk sense to her, and tell 'em to take a hike.
Knowing this band are out there right now and we're getting to watch them grow and support them make me so grateful to be alive at this moment in time.
I know you guys are blowing up and will probably tend to do bigger festivals and venues from now on, but there are some smaller festivals in the New England area with people that I think would sincerely appreciate hearing you guys bless us with your soul/funk/pop awesomeness. StrangeCreek Campout and Wormtown to name a few.
Just found these guys. Love that YT put them in my feed, but hate that it took YT this long. The YT algorithm is a mess. A modern band with a full-time horn section, very 70's, love it, and I couldn't ask for anything more. There's only one other instrument more old school, a harpsichord, but it would be a stretch to make that work. Her stage energy reminds me of Gwen Stefani with No Doubt. Looking forward to hearing their entire catalog.
why would you wave a noodle that close to the stage? like was she trying to hit them?? and why did she have a noodle in the first place??? im so confused😭
This has always been one of my favorite songs off Hotel TV, I listened to it on repeat when it came out as a single and then the acoustic version 💙 Gracie's vocals just do something for my soul 💙
We need more people, especially women to outgrow their insecurities in this world and live up to their inherent worth that they lost sight of somewhere on the way! U r doin amazing Gracie and I loved to see ur show recently. The guys are ok too I guess... :P Jokes aside, I love your music, your incredible show and the incredible groovyness you bring out of your instruments 🔥
@Lawrence - 1st love seeing y'all rocking my hometown... well played with the noodle, that's NOT a Dallas thing . I think songs like your "Freckles" and Jax's "Victoria Secret" are important in an age where body objectification is cultural currency. I know in my heart of hearts we are each born with an infinite intrinsic value and beauty by design. It's sad to see so many fail to see that and suffer lifelong consequences because that objective truth is obscured. Thank you for laying that out there. Come to Richmond, VA pls 😄
All you have to do is listen to a few Lawrence songs and you'll agree that the entire band could just roll out of bed, throw some jeans and tee shirts on, maybe have a cup of tea or coffee, and they will immediately be fkn awesome, regardless of what anybody's hair looks like. Outfits, makeup, set pieces, all the visual stuff is really fun, sure, but it means nothing without the fundamentals, which this band has in spades-creativity, humanity, integrity, chops, and pure joy in the pursuit of doing something truly wonderful.
I wish I found you guys earlier. Your music is so fun and soulful. You guys are so relateable. Also, it's incredible to see your awesome relationship as siblings! Also, as a fellow NYer... your vibe is so New York and I love it.
Any inside info or info from them about a solo tour ? I’m dying to see them but I’m old and going to a show is a huge deal for us. I don’t wanna compromise and see them any way but the best way.
*Excuse my language* Gracie is a fucking GEM! 100% knockdown, drag out GEM! Insanely talented vocalist, Amazing performer, and I would me remissed if I didn't say, very easy on the eyes. This whole band is so good. It is a travesty they are not on the top of the charts and not blowing up everywhere but it is only a matter of time before they are walking on stage to accept their Grammy awards.
Authenticity has never been more on-brand than with this band. Couldn't make anything contrived if you tried. Keep killing it, Lawrence! Also, visit South Africa :) kthanksciaofornow
Tell me why when I saw “next show” it was going to be everyone in the crowd holding noodles” also when she said noodles i immediately thought it was like food noodles and I was just imagining a woman with fistfuls of cooked noodles. Idk maybe I’m just weird 😂😂
In a way it sucks that the focus ends up being\"ooo, there's a woman/female in the band", instead of there's multiple musicians in the band, that's all. The world is getting closer, slowly, to less focus on male and female seperations. Power is in each of us humans, regardless of our chromosomal makeup. Accept and appreciate humans for who they are not what they are. All the musicians in the band are top notch, can't deny that fact! When an interviewer asks "what's it like to be the only woman in the band", counter with "what's it like to be a human on the planet?"
Sorry that happened to Gracie. Some guys are just so clueless and crass. Self deprecation is usually quite funny. 😄 And so is being real instead of fake.
Imagine thinking that someone creeping on you during a set was a male thing. Oh, to be young again. I was once sitting in with a band and I closed my eyes while singing part of this song only to open them to a drunk as a skunk woman mouthing "I love you!" over. She was barely farther from the "her" side of the mic than I was mine. There is no situation I have been in where some dude would not have stepped in if another dude got that close to a woman performing. And BTW: we're all beautiful AND ugly...inside and out. Here's to working with what you got and making how you look the least interesting thing about you.
Gracie is THE performer in the band and has THE voice of the band. Clyde is very musically talented but there's really nothing special about his voice other than he stays on key.
Are you famous, which then begs the question, how do you define fame for yourself? Putri Ariana gets 2.7m views over 20 hours of doing a performance on AGT last night, but does that make her famous (except in Indonesia maybe which is where 2.65m views came from. Or when Nightwish has a performance from 2013 at Wacken (Ghost Love Score) which is the most reacted to video on UA-cam but are hardly known outside of Europe. Just how famous are they? Or, is Haley Reinhart has a song that's gone double platinum but she'll never get a Grammy, how famous is she being an independent artist. You, as a band, are interesting and I personally don't listen to your music because you're famous. I find you interesting and amusing, not unlike Walk off the Earth. I'm not comparing you to them musically but I enjoy both of you for the same reason. I guess getting recognized walking down the street might be a measure of fame, but I once walked right by Mick Jagger and didn't know it till a friend I was with mentioned it... and I still didn't remember him walking by. Can't wait to see what you have to say... though I will share with Gracie, I am rather partial to freckles.
It's not just young girls that Gracie inspires... i'm about 10 years older than her and I dance around my living room to Lawrence and admire Gracie's ability to sing like THAT while dancing around. Y'all are the BEST!

Thank you!!!
One of the things that me and probably most of your fans love about the band is that you're so authentic! You know you're beautiful and we love you all!
This may be the most relatable and wholesome group of musicians I have ever seen. And we forever stan Gracie.
My daughter and I have tickets to one of your Jonas shows in November - she's talking about what she'll wear.... and she doesn't have freckles above her knees - but she's drawing them in!
OMG love this haahah!

Y'all speak (and sing)with such wisdom and compassion. Thank you!
My daughter looks up to Gracie as a vocalist and inspiration. She just saw y’all open for the Jonas brothers and was blown away.
LOVE THIS thank you!!
This docuseries is freaking sweet. Thank you for taking the time to put it together and having us along. I'll see you again soon. Rock on!
Gracie, I hope you can read this! I want to encourage you!!

Gracie have such energy it’s quite unbelievable!!! Love you all!!
God i have such a huge crush on this girl. Wishing these people all of the best energy forever
Pipes, Poise AND Eloquence - Gracie - you're my hero
Looking forward to this episode! Love this band.
So cool! Great to hear more from Gracie!!
You guys are so good at telling your story through film
Did I just hear the inspiration for "I'm confident that I'm insecure" at 8:20? Were you recording this as you were writing that?
Not gonna lie I heard that bit and *immediately* did a search for "insecure" to see if anyone else had already made a comment like this.
I cannot wait to see you guys some day. Been listening for years but this was pretty fantastic. Keep it up!
Knowing this band are out there right now and we're getting to watch them grow and support them make me so grateful to be alive at this moment in time.
Thank you for this incredible song. And thanks for this docu. I love it. Greetings from Bochum, Germany.
Your authenticity is your path to success. Just keep doing what you do.
I know you guys are blowing up and will probably tend to do bigger festivals and venues from now on, but there are some smaller festivals in the New England area with people that I think would sincerely appreciate hearing you guys bless us with your soul/funk/pop awesomeness. watched it twice in a row, might go for a third one
Loved seeing how Gracie inspires fans of the band, great video!
Best episode yet.
How can you not love these people? So humble so real and super talented!💙🤍
god i love lawrence and i love this series

@@lawrencethebandthank you for creating such an amazing song and band!
I was at the Dallas show and I about poured my drink on noodle girl. You guys killed it though. Best concert I've ever been to.
Thank you for this amazing doco series. And for ruining my sleep pattern. Greetings from Sydney Australia where it is 2:21 AM :)
Punk version of the Hotel TV album please!
ITS NOT YOU ITS HIM YOURE AMAZING GRACIE CLYDE
We need more people, especially women to outgrow their insecurities in this world and live up to their inherent worth that they lost sight of somewhere on the way!

I'm 43 and if I ever grow up, I want to be Gracie Lawrence.
Gracie, you are an inspiring and wonderful role model.
I just watched the Cyndi Lauper movie.
Just realized that's who Gracie remind me of. She is like if Cyndi had came up surrounded by family and friends

Gracy Lawrence - Perseverance in the face of Noodle

Love the series guys! And the music
So authentic. Manchester audiences in the UK are also like that and would love you-they do big octane fun and funny well. Please come visit us!
Clyde IS pretty 👌🏼
Can’t wait for this episode!! I love you Gracie!!!! ❤❤❤
Authenticity has never been more on-brand than with this band. Couldn't make anything contrived if you tried. Keep killing it, Lawrence! Also, visit South Africa :) kthanksciaofornow
Best Doc on UA-cam!!
That girl's intrusive thoughts must have won her over that night with the way she was waving the noodle so close to you guys LOL
So what I’m getting from this is we are all taking pool noodles to every show, right?😂😂😂
Y’all are fucking amazing 🙏🙏🙏
Dang it- you were in DALLAS????!!!
Tell me why when I saw “next show” it was going to be everyone in the crowd holding noodles” also when she said noodles i immediately thought it was like food noodles and I was just imagining a woman with fistfuls of cooked noodles. Idk maybe I’m just weird 😂😂
Gracie, you are just a strong and fantasic talentend young woman, I am loving your art and your personality. And you´re fucking funny.
We like to think of these 2024 aliens as “space pigeons.” Thanks for the retrospective!

I just went to their concert

Just saying, Clyde has the richest, brownest eyes i've ever seen!
Got it. No noodles. Don't think that would have been on my list anyway.
holy moly is that an A6 - still watching the video just had to pause and comment because my goodness
What? Gracie has these perfect American teeth. How can she be insecure about them? If anything they're too perfect.
Of course Clyde is pretty!
wtf the noodle
I dont use social media because I can't stand the packaged idealistic posts. Maybe I should try your approach instead.
Noodles! Because you know you’re beautiful!
I bought a piano because of your band. Thanks for ever
Good god this woman has a voice!

This topic/video should have been longer!
They haven’t reached the level of superstardom to have the bickering and the fracturing start yet.
