"Frampton Comes Alive" along with some queen, zeppelin and floyd changed my life. in my mid teens listening to that stuff was very mind expanding. i'm not begrudging other genius artists that were in that genre. but those were my main influences. the version of this tune on FCA is spectacular. i don't care how many overdubs they did when finalizing the recording. cheers from canada!

Seen him live 1/2 dozen times starting with him and Skynyrd at JFK stadium summer 1977 and last at Hard Rock in Biloxi 2005. Everytime the band as a whole is great..every time. Through the line up changes Bob Mayo...John Regan,etc the members of his bands are top notch...like this concert.
Wow! Saw Peter twice with his original band in 1976 and 1977, fresh out of his success with the double album. I listened to this version intently, twice as a matter of fact, to make sure that what i was listening to was not a mirage or the result of some technical wizardry that managed to do create the illusion that that was Frampton playing and singing. No mirage, no deception, just pure and unadulterated Peter Frampton, playing almost note for note the original version that appears in the live double album, and matching--and that goes for the guitars and the drummer too--the intensity, virtuosity, and authenticity of the original.
First concert I ever saw in 1978 in front of 21,000 in the Pit in Albuquerque, sounds exactly the same!

My name is Lewis Robert burton Jr and I go to the Thomasville Georgia pines medical and mental health services! When I went to have a Colonoscopy I was a sleep and about a year later Archold hospital tore that building down! And when I had my biopsy the doctor jammed something real hard up my buttocks until I couldn't stop screaming! That biopsy doctor told me it was just his finger and after that I bleed from my penis for about a week or so! When my Family medicine doctor put his finger up my buttocks I didn't hardly feel it! 3 days later the mental health so how put fire up my buttocks wanting me to blame my doctor at Family medicine! I told an officer last night in Thomasville Georgia and he said get a lawyer! Well my sister Bonnie Jean Newell has our telephone blocked where I can call out but nobody can call me! Ask if other people had a bad experence at that biopsy doctor!
Great playing but he sounds like he's playing it on Rhythm instead of Treble for the entire song. I am not hearing that signature Frampton sound. If you're a real fan you'll know what i mean.
