Mike this video should be required viewing for any reseller. I've just recently started testing the golf club category and it's been great so far. So many great nuggets of wisdom in this one that I'll keep up my sleeve.
Yeah I decided to take a chance now I’m stuck with a whole group of clubs I think I got 13 of them I only paid five dollars a negotiated with the guy at the Goodwill outlet a.k.a. bins I think he just wanted to get them out of there but play it again sports won’t take them. None lol
Now this guy here seriously breaks down everything for someone interested in buying and selling clubs. Another big thing mentioned (as I’m typing he mentions it), is the length of the club! Especially a putter/driver. Solid content Mike. Big into golf, just happened to stumble across this video! Enjoyed this viewing.
I bought a large box of used head covers for $10, mainly Titleist 905R Pro Titanium ones, in various conditions. I’ve sold at least 7 for anywhere from $10 - $15 plus shipping. I’m getting ready to list some clubs, too. As a golfer myself, I have several Pings and Callaway’s to clean and sell. Thanks for the video!

Excellent information about golf clubs! I knew nothing about them beforehand...now if I hope to find some good ones in the wild 😜. Thanks and like the camera angle in your shipping area too! 👍🏼😊
Just found a scotty cameron laguna 2, a ping answer, a odyssey 2 ball and a odyssey dual force 550 all for $75 and i do not mind paying up for good putters. The scotty alone will get me $300. I love golf clubs. I knew i would find some golf clubs because the community garage sale was held in a golf community. My first scotty cameron i found.
One thing that might be useful in buying clubs is a basic knowledge of when each series was made and sold. If you're looking at a TaylorMade Burner Bubble, or a Nike Sasquatch, or a Ping Rapture, you're looking at an older club that is not worth as much as the latest models. As you say, putters are a different matter.
After a while you can tell what is older looking pretty easily. Especially on drivers when the heads were much smaller. I tell a bag of clubs in 3 seconds if anything has potential. Then again I've been playing 45 years.
You turned me on to looking through golf clubs at thrift stores and garage sales! Just picked up a Scott Cameron putter for $8 at a thrift shop this afternoon that says h.m 1992 on the end of the head. Never heard of this brand but took a shot.

Hey, if you got a full set of irons (Like say a set of ping eye2 green dots or whatever.) is it smarter to part them out or sell as a set? Not sure where to get those long square boxes.
My thought on the older ping eye 2's and zing's is to go for the sets at first. Try the set. EX 2-Wedge then if that doesn't work go 4- wedge and sell the 2 iron and 3 iron. Most older ping sets sell for $125-$175 at best. If you are lucky to have the W and U wedge they might go for a few dollars.
