What are the mistakes that you see people making that lead to the sad stories we hear about that happen to people who moved to LA? It is so refreshing to hear honest realistic advice from a you tuber.
In this short time (the length of this film and one other, the one showing Ghana) I am impressed to say that you are one of the most refined young lady's I have seen on youtube... in a while...I did really appreciate the "Look" at Ghana...it is a lot more modern than what I knew...Anyway, hope you go far in your endeavors...
+CJaye Newton Hi CJaye! I have lived here for 20 years so I thought I could help answer your question. I have lived in the city, along the beaches, the valley, etc. That is another thing in LA, you tend to move a lot but the plus of that is you usually find something better. Now "safe" neighborhoods that have absolutely no crime don't really exist here. Everyone here just knows or learns how to be street smart when roaming around in the night. There are SAFER neighborhoods thats for sure but along with that they can be pricey. You can find a good apartment around santa monica for maybe 1300 to 1800. City it goes up or down depending on the location, utilities, etc. Valley is super cheap but the cost of gas to get back to the city is where it gets pricey. I lived in the culver city area for 13 years, a great area, and the rent cost was 2000 to 2500. Honestly you just have to be willing to walk around a couple of neighborhoods and get as many applications from apartments as you can. Oh that too, there is an application process whenever you are getting an apartment. I hope this was useful and you can for sure find a great apartment here you just have to be willing to look.
