- When we were away in May we had the 'Overheat Red Fail' error come up on our Alde control panel. In this video we take you through what we did to resolve the situation.
Please note this was a process of elimination and if you have this issue and are not able to resolve it please see the advise of a professional.
My parents say ‘thank you’, the video really helped them!
Glad it helped them 🙂
Can't tell you how grateful I am for this. First day of 14 nights away in Scotland in my 3 year old Swift motorhome and had this problem - never come across it before. Followed your instructions and Bingo! all is now working. Thank you so much! Thought I might have to abandon my trip!
So very glad this has helped you and you were able to carry on with your holiday! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
This little tip has just come in handy.
Thank you 😊
Can I say a big thank you 🤩 you are a star. Today we arrived at our six month old Swift which is on a seasonal pitch and got an identical error message. A quick watch of your fix and we are now all good. Saved us a wasted drive home. 👍👍
Yeeeeeees my little caravan buddy! What a brilliant little hack, thank you very much. Fixed it in no time
Glad it was helpful 🙂
A great big thank you to you all. I’m at home here in France and I got the dreaded overheat red fail !!!! Disaster as we need to use the motor home tonight as our bathrooms are undergoing a refurb
Not a clue did I have until that is I watched your very well presented video
Albeit that my control box is not very accessible I soldiered on and successfully pulled out the plugs and eventually managed to re connect them as instructed
All working
Many thanks and if you pass Louvigne du Desert and need a site for the night it all yours
Thanks again
Glad this video was able to help you. Thank you for the offer 😃👍🏻
Hello in our caravan we have many wires and it was very confusing but luckily we found this video. Thanks so much for your help.
You are very welcome glad it could help you. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment
Just had this problem in our Bailey motor home. Followed your tips and it’s sorted so thank you.
Brilliant, glad it helped!
Thank you so much, My Motorhome has just come back from a 6 week stay at the repair shop waiting for a part to come from Dometic in Germany - thanks Brexit! After a week from hell I set of a day late due to having to return to the repair shop to fix a water leak caused by them knocking the sink drain off when pushing the fridge back in. I drove South to Northumberland and a lovely little site in the wilds. No facility block which is Ok I prefer to use my own anyway. Switched on the Alde and got the dreaded message. I couldn’t find anything in the Alde manual but since the fluid had just been changed an airlock seemed likely. I didn’t think I could tackle that without special tools (another day lost of my holiday finding repair shop). Looking on UTube for advice I came across your vlog, it looked so simple and what’s more it worked. Thank you, thank you, It’s 30 degrees in the van and this lone female 70plus traveller is about to jump, well stagger into a shower as soon as the water heats up. My travelling companions “The Twa Westies and a moggie” will be grateful I’m sure. 👏👏👏🐶🐶🐈 p.s there was only one wire (bunched together) to remove in my system.
Wow a bit of a bumpy start to your trip so glad our little video could help you out. Thanks for taking the time to comment we really do appreciate the support.
Thank you brilliant tip, we have a new motor home which we haven't used for 2 mths, Overheat symbol was on Aldi panel did exactly what you said cured problem straight away.
terry hall great glad it could be of some assistance 👍🏻😄
Top tip, thank you very much. In our Swift Moho the boiler is harder to get at, so I just reset the Sargent power unit, and all is now well
Thank you so much for this. Amazing xx
Thank you so much, had this issue when the leisure battery went low because my charging fuse blew. I didn't know where the heating system was and your video was very informative and did the trick. Thank you xx
Glad it was able to help. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Just had the same problem with our MH. Thanks to your video, we are now sorted. Regards John
Great video. For those not on social media or possibility travelling out of interweb range, errors including this one are outlined in your Alde manual. Ya, the paper thingie....🤣
Laurie Berg thanks for the comment and feedback. On this occasion we were away and weren’t carrying the instruction manual 😂 they’re to heavy 😂
Brilliant - it worked on our Bailey Porto
Great 👍🏻
You are a lifesaver, the heating in our caravan decided to stop working and after searching high and low on Google and forums, I can across your video and hey presto, the heating works agin 😁
So glad it worked for you. Thanks for taking the time to comment 👍🏻
Great tip. I don't have alde heating but really helpful for those that do. Thanks Phil and Juliet.
Thanks for sharing! Had exactly this problem... It was caused when the leisure battery stopped charging and the voltage went low - This reset did the trick 👍👍
Glad this video was able to help you and got it sorted 😄👍🏻
@@LatitudeAdventures I have this problem in my van currently. I went to the storage as I had received a low leisure battery alarm notification. On checking over the van I discovered I had left the heating/hot water on last time, and as we have a timer plug to allow the charger to work for a couple of hours a day (Van stored under cover so solar panel no good) I feared I had burnt out the heater element! I will go back to van and follow this advice. Fingers crossed it is just down to low voltage and not a knackered heater element!
Many thanks for this video. Keep up the good work. Love your channel.
It worked, thank you.
You're welcome!
Useful to know how to reset it, but know you know why the error came up?
Hi no, but the system was fine for the whole trip after.
Thank you so much! Just took our trailer out for its maiden voyage and had this error. Problem solved :)
darek daca glad this video was able to help. Thanks for taking the time to comment
Great video. It solved my problem
Jørn Termansen glad it helped. Thanks for commenting
Just had the same error after a three day trip. Water level in our tank was ok and normally we turn everything off to include the Alde before moving but this time we forgot. Took all of 10src to reset and all was good.
CHAOSNCHECK T glad this was of some help to you.
Just fixed mine thank u. Something learnt
Glad you got yours sorted and we can help. 👍🏻
@@LatitudeAdventures just a nasty air lock to sort do that tomorrow
Sorted thank you.
Super. Thankyou.
Hi whot made the error come up in the first place did you find out what it was?
Hi not sure to be honest it was our first night at site so we had only just turned the system on.
About to go away for new year so all dealers shut! Read the rediculous questions and answers and as usual nothing helpful.... found your video; switch it on and off as per your video and we’re off!! THANKS!!!
