This is exactly what I'm waiting for. In fact just last week I contacted Axial to request such a rig. Anyone that wants to see a 1/6 Capra should do the same.
@@MrJeepfreak1972 yeah that would be sweet too. But all of the ones that are out are custom bouncer chassis. Wish there was a moon buggy chassis kinda like the full size comp cars
While I'm not generally a fan of the Cliffhanger body on an SCX6, it's hard to ignore the performance gains. Great build and even better driving. Love the video and commentary, Logan!
I absolutely did not want a SIX till now!!! That truck is amazing it looks like it’s little brother the TEN. And the capabilities that it shows in the video speak for itself…
Man that truck is awesome now!!! Very impressive!!! I've been working on a custom bulid. Have always wanted a CJ style jeep! Have run into some problems with the panhard steering and frame shift! Custom painted a injora hard body. It has an interior. Had to put it aside because it won't sit down on the chassis! I love what you've do your scx6.
Your attitude and content speaks for itself! You just earned yourself a subscriber, I know which channel I'll be watching tonight, and for years to come hopefully, cheers! 🎉
Very cool conversion! The scx6 performs awesome like it was made for the job 😊 I’m in the midst of installing a hammer rey body to my scx6 …NSDRC 2500 servo , dual foams and some cheap aluminum wheels….about 80% finished…can’t wait to get it on some hills!
That body woke it up Logan, nice!👍 I just added a Losi Hammer Rey body to mine and the new Hobbywing Axe r3 combo running on 3s. I've never seen a vehicle move so slowly and it saves a ton of weight too.
I wish agfrc would widen their own inventory. I know they make the stuff for Reefs but I wish they would release their own version of the 800lp for example. Agfrc always under rates thier servos whereas reefs greatly exaggerates thier ratings.
My SCX6 is a fairly new purchase. 2nd run i rolled it down a hill and it stripped the servo. Was sitting on the shelf for a pretty good amount of time while i decided what servo i wanted. Didnt know if i like it enough to install a good servo or cheap out. I decided to cheap out. $60 but 70kg. I now need some Treal or Vitavon upgrades. I have a set of super swamper sxs on mine too. I have a full sized wheeling rig so keeping it look like a real wheeler is a priority. I bought the honcho myself. I may do vitavon axles and a few bits of chassis bracing like the esc mount. Then again i might just buy everything that is made for the scx6, even debating on making it a 6x6. No portals though. Making it a 6x6 is staying hard on the fence. I might just buy another SCX6 and do the entire package and just get what is needed for my current one. That crack you were in at 27:00+ was a similar situation to how i broke my first driveshaft. If it breaks again i will be putting steel driveshafts under it. Thats usually how i work out what expenses i want to pay. I have 3 Super Rock Reys that have gone through what i am going through now with the SCX6. The first SRR has only what is needed to keep it from breaking (have not had a breakage in 2 years with it). The second is for more mild running. The third is currently a shelf queen with the entire Vitavon package on it (everything Vitavon offers for it)
I pick up and scx6 cheap, i cut the roof off and did a few upgrades, i really like driving it, i don't have the terrain you have, just dirt trails and hills, but its a different driving experiance
The 6 is killer! I would love to have one, but I don’t have the terrain to justify the cost to buy and build one. Would love to see more content on it though. Both more driving and any more upgrades you have planned. Cool video!
I went for Vitavon aluminum chubs and knuckles. The knuckles have oversized bearings included. I have the Club 5 Racing stainless steel front, diffs and center skid plates so the last thing I need is THAT MUCH more extra weight on the front. I also use a separate battery source for the Beast 2000 (3S 800 mah 50C Spektrum). I actually have 4 batteries in my Honcho Pro. Two main and two backups. The servo batteries are located on a LEXAN shelf right behind the front bumper. I believe my Honcho (with a Cliffhanger body!) has an 80/20% split front/rear. And my Honcho is at it’s lowest (collars all the way up). AND…if your rig doesn’t have an front overdrive gear set yet then it isn’t finished. I didn’t hear you mention that. It’ll make a HUGE difference. You’ll sh*t in your shorts at the now amazing performance. And try outboarding your shocks. Even more stability. Especially sidehilling. I’m trying Hyrax XLs for a performance upgrade. And Steady Foams. I also have brass hex drives and diff covers. Stability on the center and ends of the axles. We diehard RCers will turn the RC rig that was replicating the real thing eventually into an actual RC crawler…only bigger. HonchoMacarra is too a beast
What killer rig!!!! I love my 6, I have the Jeep as well with the top off, which made big difference. As far as other mods it has 3BRC Anti-Foams, Vitivon, front and rear shock towers, and Fine Lazer clipless mounting system. I did buy the Cliffhanger body which is still in the bag, i think you have motivated me to mount it up!!!!🤘🤘🤘
I loved that run!! I run carpras with simple, brass, 2in1 motor, & like to crawl in your area!! I'm in total south San Diego ca, & got washouts,.brem rock!! We make it work!! You totally may sold me ,on this Xmas present 2me!! Happy holidays!!!
Not in the same league but I've just put sl super swamper xl on my bomber, not had a chance to get out on the rocks, but just driving it about it's already way better than both the stock tyres and the ottsix usd stickies.that was a sick run Logan!
Man great video! That last climb was insane to watch, I couldn’t imagine what it was like to drive. Definitely would have broken something if you kept going! Thanks for the video
@@westdesertwheeler I’ve been through that part of Utah probably 15 times and definitely need to make a stop up there. I feel like I’d want to have more cars to drive so I need to build my collection a bit before I make the trip haha. You guys run events out there a few times a year right? It would be awesome to come out to one🤙🏼
Yes it does now I’ve always wanted the jeep with the top cut off and the fenders removed so it has more of a wide Dana 60 look on a jk. But this I wanted that body but the honcho one to graft the interior into and have the cool A-pillar lights it comes with. I just wish axial on all their rtr would skinny up their tires a bit. Sometimes the rears of this and the others have cartoony look with a narrow axle in certain shots, not complaining. Also absolutely love the patterns on the roof and rear bed center. The black wheels are nice against the pinch body and I would personally paint the diff covers black.
That was some sick lines you run with the 6 & your other trucks, I do like your driving style, great work 👍. I love my 6 & I do enjoy driving it, its got the Vitavon stright axels, links, aluminum panhard mounts, Power Hobby aluminum front & rear bumpers & Vitavon wheels with stock tires, looking into the NSDRC servo for it
I've got the JLU and seeing the change in performance really makes me want to put this on my list. I was pricing out converting to a Honcho body and oh boy thats too much for a body, I think $300-$350. Thanks for the great video!
I did a jcd carbon comp chassis vitavion Portal axles servo on axle vitavion high clearance links with the cliffhanger body with vitavion over drive gears

@@westdesertwheeler yeah with our great terrain (at least I feel) it’s almost a must to upgrade to a comp style rig more than just a trail truck. Which is what it seems you did here 👍🏼
Can't you just drill and tap the existing 3mm with a 3.3mm drill and tap with 4mm tap instead of buying 4mm servo horn? I know not all RC folks have a tap set..... but the price of the tap is probably comparable or less than the servo horn and it will come in handy in the future. Great video and content!
Supershafty has a scx6 class and the cliffhanger is outlawed but the roof can be trimmed off the 6 what do you think that or the proline C10 body to bring the weight down lower
Thanks for including the install at the beginning. Nice addition. 👍✌️
Glad you liked it!
Cool! I want a 1/6 Capra. Maybe then I could justify the cost. But, always loved the large scale and would like to pick a used one up down the road.
This is exactly what I'm waiting for. In fact just last week I contacted Axial to request such a rig. Anyone that wants to see a 1/6 Capra should do the same.
I have been sending the same request for awhile now!!! Let's keep the pressure on them!!!! 👍👍👍
