    Excellent 🙌 I love British RC cars as much as I love British hi fi speakers ala Kef, B&W, Tannoy,etc 👍

    That Extreme Gear lube is great =) Their dry bearing lube is awesome as well especially if you are running Ceramics or de-greased kit bearings. The dry lube keeps a lot of tire dust/dirt/carpet fluff/cat hair from sticking to the rear hub bearings and diff bearings. Makes for more runs with less maintenance in between.
    Great Vid Trish! Keep'em comin!

      Steven Jones that’s good to hear, all the brands are good as without them the hobby wouldn’t be the same. I would love it if you got yourself a laydown, it’s a great car and there is a lot of support out there aswell as I will be there to help aswell 😊 it’s a British car and I’m proud to see it in peoples hands and enjoying it.

    Cheers, Trish. Please could you do a video on how you go about doing the flashy paint jobs that your body shells sport? Many thanks.

    Thanks for another great video. Looks like your running the KD (-5?) carbon chassis on your 13.5T LD - Nice!

    Trish-what’s your opinion on set up stations? Set up tips you’re showing here is using the individual tools. When you’re at a race, are you actually setting up like this, or dropping on a Hudy station to dial in?

    Trish, at 3:12 you mention three shims each side, the manual only shows "X2" for shims between bearing and diff body, so one per side. Which is correct? (assuming this video is correct!)

      Agreed, I checked my manual too, it does say only 1 per side. I have since added 2 more per side, so now 3 on both sides and it feels like a better fit when back in the housing. So maybe a design or build change made after the manual was printed?

      Hi,
      Like you I have just one shim per side.
      Watch this video :
      ua-cam.com/video/5AQ6HEpUAv0/v-deo.html
      At 25min, you can see the manual and 3 shims per side.
      It ´s the assembly of a new Laydown. I imagine Schum have modified the manual.

    Trish, great video, thank you. Can I ask a seemingly obvious question - why does "roll generate grip", as you mention at 14:58? It's something I've read/heard in my 30 yrs+ of RC, but no-one has ever been able to explain properly... Thanks!

    • @MrTrishbits
      @MrTrishbits  5 років тому +1

      LonestarPaul so Roll is a product of a corner loading up with the weight of the car. If controlled correctly we can generate grip of the tyre is leant on correctly. If you have too much roll for example you would overload the tyre and go past it’s yield and can still slide so it’s a balancing act 😊that’s my opinion anyway

    Had 1 of these for 3 meetings now and just can’t get the hang of it at all tbh.

    Hey mate can I ask do you have any videos or advice on running car on low to medium grip, my nearest track is York which is similar to Worksop iirc (sorry it's been years since I raced) and there outdoor track is RHR which I've heard can be super low grip if it rains

    Noticed you have a yeah racing pinion, when you adjust slipper does it make a gear noise? I’m thinking it’s the pinion I have but thought I ask if you having the same sound when adjusting slipper with that pinion

    Hi Trish, nice videos, I have a couple of questions please, what size fan is that by your motor, how have you fixed it there and is it blowing or pulling air away... 😎 thanks👍

    • @MrTrishbits
      @MrTrishbits  5 років тому

      Hello, so I use a 30mm LRP fan and blow on it to disturb the air around it and it does a great job of keeping the heat down on our indoor tracks.
