The Reason your Midas wasnt increasing was because your fire sword was killing them,not ur Midas. In the chat it was saying "went up in flames" instead of "slain by .... Midas sword"

Midas has a 50% to increase sharpness level after sharp 3.

Piglins will attack you if they see you open any containers such as chests, if they hear you break chests/gold, and if you attack a piglin or piglin brute. piglin brutes (gold axes and black shirt) always attacks you too
