I bought this game for the Neo•Geo AES on day one and never regretted it. Such a fun two player game for its time. Thanks for sharing this. I just watched all 40 minutes of it. :)

Looking back on some of the boss fights I have no idea why I didn't approach it the way you did. :D Some questions though, not sure if anyone here is familiar with the mechanics but do enemies take more damage from Kagerow when she hits with her sword? Also, what is that spirit thing when fighting the last boss? I remember it constantly damaging me or pushing me over the edge. How did you avoid that?
The Round Table Pizza right next to the apartments I lived in as a child had this game in their arcade. I remember on two separate occasions pumping in all 20 quarters of the 5 dollar bill my dad gave me to play and only being able to reach stage 12 or 13.. This game was a money pit.

Man, the gameplay looks pretty bland but the presentation skirts the fine line between legit good and bad in a way that's just goddamn magical. Like, the voice acting, the surprisingly good music, the dude who wanders around an elevator swinging a nuke at you...
"Hana no mai, "Bara no mai" or "Cho no mai" just to name a few. Female ninjas use "beautiful" techniques. It makes more sense NOW, but back in the day, we wanted to know why the guys use wind and flame and thunder but the girl doesn't. ... Actually I still want to know that.
Seriously dude? Not taking even one hit while wading through waves of enemies in this game that is specifically designed to make you take hits and die inevitably? Unholy reflexes, really. The only times you lost a life is when the timer ran out (thanks to the developers who made this game that way - after all, the possibility of avoiding death in a standard 90's arcade game was too much to ask for, right?). And you took on the 4th level boss with Gembu?!! Never saw that coming.
So your default weapon is long ranged, and you pick up short ranged weapons as powerups? And meanwhile the main characters carry swords around all day long but never use them? THIS GAME MAKES NO SENSE. Also caucasian clone ninjas.

This is probably one of the worst beat 'em ups ever. It goes from being way too easy to being probably the most unfair and brutal games ever made. Your "Life" meter doesn't matter in the slightest (you usually die in one hit), the combat is absolutely grating and doesn't involve any real effort (just mash the attack button and hope you win), and the stages go on for FAR too long.
The score makes it feel like the game is an absolute joke. Most games have over 1000 points at the start. Having 4827 points as a high score sounds sad. It's kind of a shame that the score alone makes the game look hard as is. I thought someone rage quit the game!
not a bad game but not that good, early 90s beat em ups are ok mutation nation got it down and robo army top hunter burning fight is a bad knock off and this one is mediocre.

It STILL astounds me that there is such good quality voice acting in the Neo-Geo, especially in Nam-1975.
One of my all time favorite Arcade titles followed very closely by Toki, Magician Lord, and TMNT.
This brings back good memories. I miss this game.
