Rome, Italy 🇮🇹 - September 2021 - 4K-HDR Walking Tour (▶141min)

- Rome is my favorite city in the world. Why? Because it’s the perfect blend of history and the modern world. It has it all- beautiful historical sites, amazing shops and of course; the perfect pizzas ever.
So here’s my experience of Rome and why it’s soo awesome:
1) The people
Italian hospitality is unbeatable. The Italians treat you like long lost buddies right from the moment you first meet. The hotel staff are extra nice and attend to your complaints within seconds. But the best about Italians is the way they speak. Their language comes out like a sweet song. It so adorbs that I wouldn’t be able to guess even if they were swearing at me.
2) The food
If you think you have eaten the best Italian food ever in your own countries, you’re gravely mistaken my friend. The best Italian food comes from the source…which would be Italy in this case (well obviously). These Italian restaurants/cafe’s serve the most scrumptious ravioli, epic mouth-watering risottos and pizzas to die for. I would make a trip back to Rome simply for the food if I could.
3) The historical significance
Rome’s history is divided into two parts. The Roman Empire and Medieval history. The architecture of each era is spread out into two distinct areas. The walk to the Colosseum is one of the most enchanting walks I have ever taken. There are ancient relics on either side of the pathway adding to the charm. The Medieval historical sites give off a very “Game of Thrones” vibe.
4) The Vatican
This mini-city on its own would make a trip to Rome worth-it. The Vatican some of the most beautiful frescos ever in the Sistine Chapel. You will find hundreds of tour guides right outside the Vatican who will give you a tour of the church and museum. Just make sure that you don’t get ripped off!
5) The shopping
Milan is technically a major fashion capital but Rome isn’t far behind. The shopping here is marvelous from boutique brands to mainstream brands. There’s a Zara store that’s four stories high (I spent around two hours there I think). After a day of hard-core shopping you can relax in a nice spot, having street-made square pizzas and watch the sun setting over the beautiful historical ruins. Bliss!
Fun Fact: The Trevi Fountain- a must see site- has magical powers. Apparently whoever puts a coin in there is sure to come back to Rome one day. My mom put the coin twice and has visited Rome twice ever since. I put it as well and I sure do hope to go again someday!

Rome is well and truly an open air museum. An absolute gem. It’s hard to find the right adjectives to describe the beauty of such historical place. I was born there. But after moving abroad at the age of 26, I kept going back for mini breaks and I’m never tired of returning and enjoying my strolls around the endless alleyways often leading up to spectacular architectural marvels. Well done on sharing such beautiful images. Thank you 🙏🏻😬🥂

Beautiful Roman graffiti at 1:05:20 really captures the historical essence and poetry of such a lively city
There are 2000 year old cock graffitis in pompeiis ruins so nothing has changed really.

I just came from one of those channels with footage of NYC in the 1930s, I love the amazement of seeing what life was like in the past but imagine how people from back then would feel if they saw this. Like it or not, we've come a long way.

Thanks for sharing tourister! This is the closest we can get to actually walking around in Rome without visiting. I have been to many cities where they try to make a replica of Rome but nothing like the real thing. Love their food too, this footage makes me miss the smell of olives and the salty taste of Anchovies on Neopolitan pizza. Regards from Chennai, India.

@Nevermind no, it's the cradle of ancient Roma, neoclassicism and Baroque and biggest center of renaissance with Firenze😘.
Western world is just a world probably invented by Americans. Not Western, Italy and Greece along with some parts of Southern Europe, Northern Africa and some parts of Western Asia are part of the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean is neither west or east, it is both and neither North or South, it is a mixture. Geographically and Culturally speaking.

It is difficult to travel abroad due to corona, but I would like to go to this country someday.
I've always loved italian food & music, but after watching movies directed by Fernando Di Leo and Antonio Margheriti and Ruggero Deodato(Uomini si nasce poliziotti si muore),I fell in love with it even more.
I haven't been there yet, but I like Italy after my hometown.
Fortunately, I'm not infected with corona, so I would appreciate it if you could accept it without distinction.🇯🇵😀🇮🇹

If you are vaccinated it should be no problem getting to italy from Japan. The countries mutually recognise the validity of the vaccinations so check on the internet. Maybe now you can book a cheap flight !

Roma is my favorite city in the world as well. The food is fantastic, the gelato superb and the people are intelligent and the most stylish in the world. After 2000 years of art and building it's an eye feast as well. I couldn't go this year but next summer will be different.

You eat good stuffs in small cities in the mountains ..Rome is just a tourist trap don't lie to yourself I visited Montepulciano and other cities were I really had tradicional food ..Rome it's nothing compared to any small city in Italy.

I was in Rome in 2001 and in 2019. What a city! Pure magic. The only thing which make me sad about this city is that there is no any remains of great Circus Maximus.
