I wonder if they ship to the UK...?
Cordyceps? Your sponsor is clearly not a fan of "The Last of Us" 😉
I dont think range actually reduced. Its actual range
The truth would interfere with the clickbait title.
With regen only so it's only good for stop and go driving on flat roads if you slam on the regen at every stop...
@@GreenBlueWalkthroughnot accurate. The previous estimate was 55% highway 45% city traffic. I think they’ve realized “real” range would be a heavier highway blend than that.
@@TheGOF Yeah ikr I like this channel but holy clickbait
"The 2024 Tesla Cars Just Got Big Changes"
If you call the removal of some stopping modes a "big change", maybe, but otherwise nothing on the cars actually changed except the EPA estimate - the actual mileage from the cars is exactly the same.
Exactly.
Who is going to click on "Tesla Removes Some Stopping Modes?"
A friend has a Tesla Y and we go to Cincinnati from Louisville every once in a while. During our December trip we layer up so we didn’t need to rely on the electric heater into system.
I prefer to have the creep and roll for snow and icy conditions.
The option of creep roll and hold was there on my highland delivered to Sweden when i got the car but was "updated away" and I can no longer choose between the regen modes.
Not sure if the US will still have the option but the new highland does not have this at least if you are on the advanced update setting that gives you the latest updates faster.
Just adjusted the EPA test cycle to better reflect reality
So glad they are keeping the HOLD mode. Always use this and love it in my Model 3.
Hold is the way.
What are the ranges when the temperature is 30 below?
Most American made car is what I tell people who give me a negative comment on my Tesla Y. Usually quiets them down, and also the number of people the US plants employ. Great video!
Range is such a weird conversation, but our Model YLR, like most everyday drivers we (my wife and I) drive about 60 miles per day. Starting each day at 80% state of charge this translates on the screen to 262/263 miles depending on the day. We drive mostly highway to and from our office at about 75MPH. We live in South Florida so most days our AC is running at a decent clip. By the time we get home in the evening we are usually at around 55% which then displays about 180 miles of range left after a full day. We plug it in at night and by morning we are back to 80%. The few times we took longer road trips, using a supercharger was a breeze. YES it takes longer to charge on the road than it does to fill up with gas, but the overall savings of time and money because we never have to stop to fill up 98% of the time is perfect. There is nothing wrong with the range on any Tesla for most potential buyers out there. The reality is for most people the range on any Tesla is a non issue for daily driving, especially if you are able to charge at your home.
Subscriber, always enjoy your vids. One constructive suggestion: Easy on the chap stick
With only the hard setting how is it going to handle winter weather. It locked up tires and put you in a skid Tesla fast . Still trying to figure out the right mode for this .
Luv this! ❤️
My 2018 Model 3 and now my new 2023 Model Y window stickers both showed highway, city and combined ranges. So not sure what you are talking about, when you said you wished they would show that information.
Every EV is impacted by this EPA measurement change. My actual range did not change at all.
With these lower more realistic range numbers is yet another reason why 400 miles of range needs to be the minimum for every EV. Elon has claimed that 300 miles of range is more than enough, when it really isn't when you factor everything in.
The recent Fox News article show a person with limited experience in a Tesla drove from Chicago to New York an 800 mile trip. During the winter and were surprised they had to recharge 4 times.
what happened to the 5% increase in energy density every year?
Stealth grey is a LOT darker than midnight silver. Got both...
tesla model y 2024 related date??
Hey Andy how many X accounts do you have??
The Monroney sticker shows city and highway MPG on all cars, including EVs, where they use MPGe. MPGe is a silly unit, but it’s trivial to convert to Wh/mile or miles per kWh. What’s missing is city and highway range.
The MPGe is showing the range.
@@Resist4 MPGe only tells you the efficiency. It says nothing about the battery capacity. You need both to determine range.
miles per kWh = MPGe ÷ 33.705
@@pepstein Yet, it shows miles right on the sticker.
@@Resist4 but it doesn’t show city or highway range. Just combined range.
@@pepstein Again, mine shows combined plus city and highway range, right on the window sticker.
Ultra Red is what Model S and X have been in recent years.
5:27 I prefore creep and coast as it allows for more flexablity in driving... Like if you want to creep with out it you have to two foot... or I guess bearly press the powerlever(What you call a throttle body less throttle.) But wouldn't theat wear the breaks and motors in a telsa? Also coasting is much more energy effect they regen as it take you longer to slow down those preserve momentum then well bleadding it to get some battery back. Like the only advantage one petal gives you is um... It's easy to remember in an emergency so you don't hit the wrong one?
Did you mean "barely", "brakes", "bleeding" and "pedal"?
Having driven a Tesla a few times, I don't think you understand how "one pedal driving" works.
Ultra Red = blood red
Stealth Grey = Not Stealthy
@@Resist4 Steath Gray = darker MSM
Slowly getting to truth
Minus another 20 miles
👋👍
I don't think effencitcy is the right word... fuel economy is as it's more effencty to coast down hills and to a stop sign then it it to slam on regen at the stop sign... But you do get more fuel in elcitity back so it's cheating the test again just in a differnt way.
pretty disappointed by the range on the CYBER Truck. nowhere near the range of the ford f250 i was hoping to replace in a few years. the event promised over 400 5 years ago
You talk promises and range, you sound like a marketing bot.
It was actually 250+, 300+ and 500+, for each of the 3 versions, and it was 4 years ago. But I hear you, I'm just as disappointed especially since they increased the prices $20k - $30k. And a $50k price increase if you want a Founders Edition.
@@TurdFergusen the majority of these trucks are going to cities. thats cool but not really what trucks are used for. the #1 vehicle sold in rural America is a truck. most trucks now have ranges of over 400, 500 and even more then that if you get a diesel. my f250 has a 500 mile range. i love the teslas, they are amazing cars, i have a c-truck reservation from 3 years ago wich i will probably skip on now. just pointing out a flaw that tesla doesn’t seem to be able to address.
